It's so funny when you get to this point! Sometimes Disney broccoli and green beans just look SO appetizing after eating french fries for days.



This is my go-to at Cosmic Rays. It's expensive, but it's quite a bit of food and good quality. Glad you both enjoyed your meals. Your carrots kind of count as vegetables. They have vitamin A! The mac 'n' cheese...maybe not...oh well!



No shame in this! You girls put in LONG days on this trip!

January 30th, 2017 (Part 9)

THERE'S NO CRYING IN DISNEY!
Okay, Okay, You've caught me. I'm totally dragging the TR out because I'll have to wait until November until I can start another one . BUT it's about time we start getting this thing all wrapped up.

Sooo, we left off with me not eating veggies (apart from carrots- which I realize that they are veggies, just not the kind I was in search of ). As soon as we finished eating, Once Upon A Time began. Update on our viewing spot: The walkway in front of us was monitored by Cast Members to keep a clear pathway in case of an emergency. So, anybody who would stop and stand for more than a few seconds would be asked by a CM to keep moving. So if you're ever looking for a good spot, try the front row of tables in front of the Plaza!

Even though I miss the soundtrack from Celebrate The Magic, I really did enjoy Once Upon a Time!

Then it was time for Wishes- this was a pretty emotional night for me because A: This was the last time I would ever see Wishes. B: I knew I wasn't getting into the DCP for the fall so I didn't know when I would be coming to Disney again. And C: I was freakin' exhausted ergo emotional. So, it's not hard to imagine that I cried like a baby. I totally broke the "There's no crying in Disney" rule!. I still managed to snap a couple of pictures through my tears.

After fireworks, we joined the MASSIVE crowd of people exiting the park. I was still crying as we exited the park so excuse my sketchy exit sign picture

Thankfully I got a hold of myself and got a decent picture before we got on the monorail

Our first stop was the Polynesian, I think Rachel wanted to see if they had any Moana merchandise.

They actually didn't have anything. So we left that sore and went to the other one and looked around. We noticed that they had the iced shortbread cookies that we had tried a few days before as a sample in AK. The sign beneath them said they were only like $2.50 or $3.50 which seemed pretty cheap so we grabbed some and took them to the counter.

When the CM rung them up they were like $5 each and we were like "ummm... we thought they were cheaper than that". The people standing in line behind us were all trying to be helpful and were like "Yeah, it doesn't say $5 anywhere on this sign". The CM assured us that was the correct price so I decided I didn't really want it for 5 bucks. Rachel still decided to get hers though. So while she was being rung up, we talked to this cute family in line with us. It was a Mom and a Dad and their two young kids. We asked if either of them wanted some stickers and both the kids and they parents got so excited. The parents were like "Thank you so much, that was so sweet!". I love how just giving Disney stickers to strangers can make their day!

After Rachel brought her cookie, we got back on the Monorail to go to the Grand Flo. This was actually my first time ever visiting this resort!

Of course I had to get that obligatory Resort rugs pic!

We just headed down to the lobby and looked around and soaked in the sounds of the band playing above us. I LOVE the grand! I can't wait to go back and visit when I have a little more time!

Then we hopped back on the monorail, got off at MK and headed toward the busses! We were 110% EXHAUSTED once we made it to our resort we crashed.

January 31st, 2017

See Ya Real Soon!
Aw man, I always hate the last day blues! We reluctantly woke up and started packing up our stuff. The Tragical Express was scheduled to come get us around 11 or 12. I gathered my things and took pictures of all the random bits I collected over the days.
First off, here's my backpack sticker collection! I don't quite know how I accumulated so many but they're all just so cute!

Next, here are all of the pins I traded for over the past few days

And then here are all of the pins Rachel traded or bought throughout the week

Finally, all of our adorable polaroids!

Once we used all of our might to squish all of our belongings into a personal item, I grabbed a Mickey Waffle from our breakfast the day before, we had just stuck them in the fridge the previous night. I promise it tasted good even though it looks about 10 years old

After eating my questionable breakfast, we headed to the lobby to check out.

Oh hey, there's me!

Ah, a resort rug picture. Who's surprised? Nobody.

While we were checking out, we chatted to the CM and she told us how she had worked at Disney since she was 19 and has never left the company since.

After that we went outside and waited for the Tragical Express. I may or may not have attempted to book another trip while I was waiting. Unfortunately we decided we couldn't go when I wanted to because of final's week at school.
But it's okay now because I'll be there in November

The bus finally arrived and we made it to the airport in no time! Surprisingly I didn't cry but I probably had no tears left after the night before. I'm kidding...kind of.

We made it up to security and suddenly became very thankful Disney gets you to the airport two hours early. The line was INSANE. There were police with bomb sniffing dogs and people everywhere. It was definitely a stressful experience! Thankfully we made it through with enough time to make a bathroom and Starbucks stop.
I got the Peach Green Tea Lemonade

We headed to our gate and boarded our plane a few minutes later.

January 29th, 2017 (Part 8)

We both decided that it was way too cold to be eating ice cream as it was in the low 50's after the sun had gone down. We decided to take our foot into the Tiki Room so we could eat in the warmth. There were barely ten people in line a head of us so we knew that we would get a good seat.

Love, love love this trip report! You are so detailed I feel like I am there with you! One question-- were you allowed to take your dole whips into the Tiki Room?? The first time I ever tried a dole whip I had planned for us to do this... but we were told no way could we take them in so we ended up scarfing them down and running in.

It may have been the fact that there weren't too many CM's around to see us or that they've changed their rules but yes, nobody said a thing! That stinks they wouldn't let take yours in! I can't imagine the brain freeze you guys had after scarfing it down
