OK.. thought I would get our post up to the top again.. it has fallen too far down...
With the luggage restrictions, Do you think it will affect how dressy you are getting for dinners? I am trying to figure out if hubby can get away with just a tie and leave the jacket at home for the formal/semiformal dinners.. and what will work for DD and me...
And what level of dressiness (is that a word) you are going to do for dinners?
I am thinking this might be a bit more casual than a "regular" cruise... What do you think?
Hard to say. On the one hand, it's a lot of nights, so it's potentially a lot of luggage, which will make people think twice, but on the other hand, it's Europe and so potentially more formal than the Carribbean, which is tropical. Also, the formal night is on a sea day. We are planning to bring clothes for the formal and semi-formal nights, mostly because the DDs really like to put on party dresses and my DH never gets a chance to wear his tux. What I'm worried about in terms of luggage bulk is that it's not going to be hot, and we're going to need to bring bulkier things (sweaters/jackets) than usual. We have LL Bean duffel bags that are fairly large but fit the luggage restrictions, so I'm hoping that 4 of those, plus maybe a carry-on garmet bag, will do the trick.
