here now and wondering what to do for lunch tomorrow and I want to get my fish and chips fix.

I have only had Yorkshire County Fish and chips and they are amazing. How do the fish and chips at Rose and Crown rank with Yorkshire?

IMHO the fish and chips at Yorkshire are much better than the ones I have had at Rose and Crown.

That is what I have heard. Just wanted some opinions. Thanks!!

We like both equally quite honestly. They are similar but different. The Rose and Crown is always a larger cut of fish, Yorkshire reminds me of the sizes you'd find at Long John Silvers or Captain D's. Not by taste, but smaller, easy to eat with fingers. I believe they use a different fish, but not certain, for each. But flavor wise, we've found very little difference in them. We usually go with Rose and Crown because we generally dislike scouting our own table and serving ourselves, when we have a choice.

If they served that Scotch Egg at Yorkshire, we would pick Yorkshire over R&C every time. But sometimes you have to have a Scotch Egg before the fish and chips . . .

I'm in the "Yorkshire is better" camp. My 12 year old and I were both disappointed by our R&C fish and chips last December, but Yorkshire is always a favorite. R&C was a one and done for us.
