YOLO Part Dos -- A Journey Beyond Your Wildest Imagination Updated 9/9 Trip Video

Oh my gosh how I love that picture of you under the umbrella jumping, it is perfect! also love your TOT picture. That is hilarious and oh so clever!

Yay for trip dates! I will be in Disney July 2nd- July 9th so we could potentially run into each other :)

That DVC cruise will be so much fun with all of those Dis Crazy people on board! The fish extender will be extra full that trip!

omg break dancing in the bathroom ,I just laughed so hard i started wheezing LOL,see the thing is i'm very visual so when you say these things I actually picture it n then it's even funnier :rotfl:

hahaha :lmao: I'm glad we could make you laugh!

Great update! :goodvibes

thanks!

Ahhh, can't wait for lunch there! I think I will be going with Andy's choice of the carved turkey sandwich. :thumbsup2 All of the rooms are so pretty, I don't know how we will decide where to sit! I'm guessing all three rooms are open for lunch and you can sit wherever you want?

*Sigh* I'm really depressed that I will not be allowed to show off my break dancing skills in the Beast's Castle...I was so looking forward to that!:rotfl2:

You are going to love it! I feel like whatever meal choice you make you can't go wrong either. All 3 rooms are opened for lunch, the west wing normally fills up the quickest because it is the smallest.
Oh my goodness!!! haha maybe the beast will change his rules by the time you go there!

Oh thank you so much!
I am so sad! We have to change our trip to a different time because something has come up the week we were going to go :sad1:

Life Update: YOLO part 3 is on hold for the time being. Something has come up the week we are suppose to go down and therefore we unable to go. We are now looking into going in August but since this just happened we are still up in the air.

I Just Want to See The Floating Lanterns Gleam

We left the castle and decided to play a game of be that statue. Alicia and Andy werent feeling it because on the other half of the bridge was a long line of people who were waiting to get in for lunch.

We then made our way to the newest part of the magic kingdom& the tangled bathrooms!!!

I never knew I could love a bathroom as much as I do. This is beautiful!

I'd rather be called deadly for my killer show-tune medley
Thank you! 'Cause way down deep inside I've got a dream

And Vladimir collects ceramic unicorns!

The bathroom itself is also very colorful with all of rapunzels drawings

Frying Pans who knew?

just a few more photos and we were on our way

We then used the new walkway that lead to the haunted mansion and saw the tower.

to the haunted mansion we go

On our way out Brittany did a little freak out, I thought she found the wedding ring but that was not the case

Just a mickey mouse confetti :rotfl:

We ventured our way to adventureland where Andy suggested we go to the Swiss Faily treehouse. Why he wanted to do the treehouse who knows. But we did and enjoyed every minute of it. After walking up and down a couple flights of stairs we decided to take a nice rest while listening to the original glee club&the tiki room!

While we waited for the show Alicia was fascinated by the Swiss family story that she decided to google it. Soon it was show time. When the show ended both Brittany and Andy asked where Zazu and Iago were. They were not aware that they went back to the original show because Iago was ruined in the fire awhile back.

Since we were over in Adventureland we decided that we should take a nice boat ride on Pirates. On our way there we were stopped by the pirate show going on, none of us have ever stopped to watch it so it was nice. We didnt stay for the whole show and got in line for pirates. There was literally no one! Since there was no one Brittany and Alicia did some planking and mowgalooing

and then a group of people came by&.awkward!
The only thing I put in my notes about this ride is mermaids and real man hair&delicious :rotfl: That pretty much sums up this whole attraction.

The it was time for the wildest ride in the wilderness! A couple days before we arrived Alicias friends from college came down for spring break. They went on Space Mountain and it ended up breaking down so they got fastpasses good for the rest of the week, which meant Alicia stocked up on them because her friends left.

So we decided to use them for Big thunder while we got in line the CM told us that we were four trouble makers and that we better not break down her ride!

It was definitely one of the wildest rides in the wilderness!

Great updates! Shame about YOLO part 3; hopefully you'll still get to go in August!

Catching up!

You guys make Expedition Everest look like so much fun! Even my hubs said when watching your video, "They go on EE a lot!" We have never tried it, and we probably never will. Or at least I never will because I have heard that the part that goes backwards in the dark can sometimes be dizzying, and I get dizzy pretty easily. I wish there was a way to have a video to experience the entire ride to really know what happens in the dark!

I LOVE Finding Nemo! I think I will always want to sit up close from now on just because of the great expressions on the puppeteers. Our first time watching it was in the bleachers area at the farthest point in the theater. Then when we saw it again, we waited early to snag seats in the third row or so because the first row was way too close and next to the catwalk thing that sticks out of the stage. We were entranced!

There's something so fun about eating a meal or two in the room. For me, I feel as if I really get to enjoy the food even more because there's no rush to get anywhere or do anything. I can be in comfy clothes and flip flops since I always wear sneakers when we go out anywhere that requires a lot of walking. I also have this thing where I worry about not being able to finish meals and wasting food (haha, I guess my parents really got my head a little twisted about not wasting), so I make myself nervous and unable to eat! The video of you guys eating your pasta in the room is some of the parts I enjoyed the most cuz you guys were just really enjoying what you got!

The ropes course thing is so much fun! We had to stop every so often because we were following the tiniest little girl. Other kids were zooming past her, and I was so afraid she would fall, so we were kind of blocking others from knocking her over. I was encouraging her, and she was talking to me. The funny thing is that this little girl did NOT seem scared at all! She was just slowly making her way down. Omg, I sound like such a creeper, but she was super adorable. Her parents were waiting for her at the end; I was surprised that neither of them went with her because she was such a cute little peanut!

HAHAHA, I like how you said Andy yelled at you for taking the picture on the Streets of America of his airing out his feet, but it made its way into the TR anyway! Love it! Those are the best pictures!

Does your phone last all day even as you take TR notes on it?

Ahhh, another YOLO trip! Yayyy!!! I am excited to read about your Sanaa experience. That is by far our favorite restaurant, but alas, they just recently changed the menu and they no longer have the shrimp in green curry sauce, which was one of the greatest thing I have ever eaten! So sad. I love the bread service so much though. I could eat those carbs every single day! (edit: Just got up to the part where you said YOLO 3 is on hold. Bummer for that, but I like knowing that whenever it is, you guys will eventually get back there together!)

How sweet that a Disboards couple put your reservation for the cruise under theirs! Yay for a cruise trip too! I can't wait to read that one.

I can't wait to ride the Little Mermaid ride again! We only did it once, and there are only so many things my eyes can take it in one ride through!

I want to eat dinner in Beast's castle!!! That shrimp and scallop puff pastry thing looks so tantalizing. We should get one of those "breakdancing" signs for my school to indicate to breakdancing (or attempts at breakdancing) because one of our 7th graders just sprained her ankle attempting to do it during recess!

Despite the fact that everyone complained about Iago and Zazu, I actually like the show better with them in it. I was waiting for the tiki goddess to come out of the center, and I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't there in the original! Haha, it just reminds me of my childhood of being so afraid of her (still kind of am!) so I was looking forward to that slight fright once again.

So glad you guys waited for and enjoyed BOG! It's so amazing in there that it's totally worth waiting in the line for lunch! Glad to know you can use a snack credit for the French Onion! I'll probably be doing that in Sept! Yum!

Ah the tangled bathrooms, such an amazing place, Disney really has done good this past little bit, the detailing put into there is just plain amazing!!

Awesome that you've got a bunch of extra fast passes!!

Andy should do a trip report! I think it'd be like "And then the girls started dancing and people gave us funny looks." :rotfl2:

i second that motion. andrew should do a trip report or at least do an update. we need a guy perspective. i can see where that cm would call you guys troublemakers. he probably heard about that little excursion into river country. not only is there no sleeping in disney, there's also no secrets. sorry to hear you had to cancel your july trip. hope you can reschedule for a later time. waiting on that next update. don't keep us waiting too long.

Thank You! I'm really hoping we get to go. Although at the moment it isn't looking to promising. But if it doesn't happen it will be ok and life will go on.

OH MY GOODNESS I THINK YOU WON THE LONGEST COMMENT AWARD!
Everest is such a great ride! You should try it just once. Brittany doesn't like spinny things that make her dizzy so the tea cups are always a no go. She handles everest just fine though. Andy also gets that "dizzy" feeling often on rides and is ok with one ride on it, he starts to feel it after we go on it a second time in a row.

I inch my was forward with each time I see it. Like you I sat on the bleachers the first time I saw it. The only problem was the fact that I sat right by the cat walk and couldn't see passed it.

I was happy that we ate in our room. Like you said it is nice to take our time and actually enjoy the room. That had to be one of the best meal we had, I loved it so much.

I love little kids so much so to me you don't sound like a creeper at all! I would have probably been a major creeper and took a creeper photo of her. Now that makes me sound more of a stranger danger! :rotfl:

My phone actually does last all day, but normally we go back to the room once each day and thats when I put it on charge. I did buy a charging case but I lost the charging cord for it so I didn't use it this trip.

I'm so sad that it isn't happening. I have been dying to try Sanaa recently. Alicia actually told me to talk to you because she said how that is one of your favorites! I guess I will just have to try it some other time. But I promise I will be trying it the next trip.

I'm so excited for this cruise, I think I'm most excited for all the food. Of course! I have a serious problem with disney food.

Haha yess!!! I love the break dancing sign! Students these days are crazy they are always trying to pull out their moves.

I don't really have a huge say on which show was my favorite. I do agree that I am always waiting for the lady to come out and sad that she never does but then the other half of me is happy that iago is gone.

So glad you guys waited for and enjoyed BOG! It's so amazing in there that it's totally worth waiting in the line for lunch! Glad to know you can use a snack credit for the French Onion! I'll probably be doing that in Sept! Yum!

I agree the wait for BOG is totally worth it. Even if you do have to wait in the rain!
The tangled bathroom is just simple magical and I love that it is just a restroom. Like at time I wish I lived there!

Your video was great you guys are hilarious and I loved the Andy segment. So funny!

Thank you so much!!! Next trip we will be getting Andy to dance!

Love your update! :)

Thank you!

Andy should do a trip report! I think it'd be like "And then the girls started dancing and people gave us funny looks." :rotfl2:

I seriously laugh every time I read this! :rotfl:
We would probably have to force him to do one. It would be probably be just pictures without any explanation.

i second that motion. andrew should do a trip report or at least do an update. we need a guy perspective. i can see where that cm would call you guys troublemakers. he probably heard about that little excursion into river country. not only is there no sleeping in disney, there's also no secrets. sorry to hear you had to cancel your july trip. hope you can reschedule for a later time. waiting on that next update. don't keep us waiting too long.

I will have to tell him that! He will probably say something like "I don't write trip reports" just like "I don't dance"
Oh my goodness all the CMs know about our disney rebellious acts! Maybe we should act more like our age...nahhh that would be no fun!

Lets Go Play On Tom Sawyer Island

After thunder mountain we walked passed the tom sawyer raft port and decided to go check it out. I haven’t been to Tom Sawyer Island in the longest time. Each trip we took I wanted to go to find a paintbrush but it never happened. And although the paintbrushes are gone I was finally making my way over to the island.

We got aboard the Becky Tatcher raft, to the island we go

Once aboard we did a little filming for our video. Except this part was never added because I never got any of the videos Brittany recorded on her camera.

Once we arrived to the island we had no idea where we were going first.

we went to our right and went up our first flight of stairs that led us into a small little building.

from there we took a nice stroll across the bridge where I told Brittany and Alicia to pose like they were painting the fence. Tom and Huck being best friends!

next up…

oh the barrel bridge, where your inner child can come out while you bounce and shake your way across.
Brittany was not feeling that though.

the other two seemed like they were enjoying themselves

Afterwards we went to the totally other side of the island were we took the long bridge over to the fort Langhorn

In this area there was the most scariest thing I have ever encountered at Disney ... a horse with a swishing tail?…no

a dog? No

the two guys…yes!

They just stand there not facing you, just waiting for the moment when they can make their attack. Almost like the kingdom keepers when the animatronics come to life and attack. So after one quick glimpse we were gone from that area…see ya bye!

Time to go exploring! While we were walking through the fort we found some guns.

Brittany then found out that if you pressed the trigger it made a shooting sound

Hurry attack those animatronics!

Andy is becoming a great photo bomber! I have never been prouder of him!

There was a gun that was going off none stop just by itself and was getting a little annoying after awhile. So we left and found the cannons to pose with.

And because everyone can pose like they are shooting the cannon we decided to go a step further…

Mowgabaloo that!

As we were leaving the fort we noticed that there we a section that was blocked off so us being our rebellious selves decided to see what it was. The only way of getting there was by going through the exit…YOLO!

No we actually did not go because it was blocked off from the exit also. Guess we will have to go back on another trip to see what was behind the walls.

Up next is the best part of our whole adventure on Tom Sawyer’s Island!

Looks like some fun on Tom Sawyer Island! I always say I want to go out there one of these days, but I have NEVER been! I guess now that I have a boy, it might end up being one of those unavoidable things. I mean, shooting guns, that's totally a boy's dream! Those two guys do look pretty creepy, but I have to say I was more freaked out by that horse's tail. :lmao:

I always wanted to go find a paintbrush too, but we never made it over there early enough (or at all because it's one of those things that you say you'll do, but then it often gets skipped). Haha, I totally think those men in Fort Langhorn are creepy too! They're definitely something that would come alive in Kingdom Keepers. I kept expecting them to turn around and be like, "Uh, can we help you?!?" because we were being nosy and invading their space.

Did you get to explore Injun Joe's cave? I was actually kinda scared in there too, and I totally smacked my head on part of the wall ...

i can't believe in all the times we've gone to disney world i've been to tom sawyer island only once. and even then i didn't make it to fort langhorn. i'll have to correct that on our september trip (Good Lord willin' and the creeks don't rise.) me thinks you're a bit too judgemental on those two fellows in the barn. they're probably just a couple of hillbillies who are a tad shy around city folks. i'll give the planking princess a 7 on the cannon, but i don't think she'll ever top the 10 she got for that Roy plank.

Cute pics! :goodvibes

thank you!

I love it so much! We had a blast. I have a feeling that we wont be going every time though. Its just always going to be one of those things that you say you want to do but never do. That horse will get cha!

I'm so sad that I never found a paintbrush. I mean the "prize" wasn't all that good I think the scavenger hunt itself would have been fun. I know now not to look in that window because one of these days they will turn around.

YES!!! The last time I went many years ago my father thought it would be funny to hide and scare us.

Its just one of those things that people pass everyday. So I will not judge you on the lack of times you have been there because I'm in the same boat. I'm more than a little bit judgmental those guys were creepy!
Brittany said "life complete!" :rotfl: She is proud to be the girl that is known for planking Roy

Ready Or Not Here We Come!

We saved the best thing for last&the caves! This is one of the major things I remembered of Tom Sawyer Island. The last time I went so many years ago my Pa had fun running ahead of us and scarring us. We tried to relive those moments&

Ready or not

Here we come!

At first we started going slow getting use to the dim lighting in the caves. Then we started to separate and find hiding spots. At times we used our flashlight apps on our phones to light the way. I do not enjoy being scared one bit so this was quite terrifying.

But overall we were having a grand ole time

and in the middle of the cave we found the treasure!

After all our running, laughing, hiding, screaming, dying in the caves we saw the sun light and reached the end. It was such a fun time and I dont understand why I dont play in the caves every trip.

We headed back to the front to catch a raft back to frontierland but before we did I of course made them stop to take a photo.

Since we stopped to take a photo we missed the raft back so in the mean time Brittany and me played a mean game of checkers.

We were unable to finish because another raft was making its way across the rivers of America to pick us up. But by the looks of how the game was going Brittany was going to win.
So we got in line and the photo bombing started!

Our Tom Sawyer Raft arrived and we got on board off to frontierland we go!

So much love in one picture

Gotta hold on if you dont want to fall overboard

Once we arrived back on land safely we hopped in line for Thunder Mountain again because we ended up grabbing some fastpasses before we went over to Tom Sawyer Island. Of course the CM remembered us and was glad that we didnt break down the ride. Back again?! why yes, yes we are!

I love the girl in the background photo bombing with the hugest smile on her face while her dad is looking like he is ready for bed.

howdy folks!
please keep your hands and arms inside the train and remain seated at all times. hang on to your belongings especially your hats and glasses. cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!!

The mother behind us cracks me up, every time I watch the trip video she does everything she can to move out of view from the camera. :rotfl:

The wildest ride took a lot out of us so we ended up splitting up to get some snacks. Alicia and Andy headed to a cart in Frontierland while Brittany and me made our way to Adventureland where we got one of my 2 favorite Disney treats.

DOLE WHIP TIME!!!!

Brittany went with a pineapple vanilla twist

I went with the classic pineapple

We met up with Alicia and Andy near by and danced with our food. As many of you may know Andy was not feeling that one bit. But he did enjoy his mickey shaped pretzel.

With snacks in hand we made our way to the hub to get a seat for the parade. Im not really sure why we decided to watch the parade because we never do. I probably said something about wanting to see Peata&

We were there super early so we laid out our ponchos and plopped down in front of the castle. Since we were there so early Alicia wanted to run over to Storybook Circus to get a cupcake. While Brittany and me were holding our spots we witnessed a huge group of people doing the harlem shake. Personally I dont understand why it is cool but whatever.

After finishing our delicious dole whip Alicia and Andy were back. This is when I realized that I lost my hairbrush somewhere, Im assuming on Tom Sawyer Island (This doesnt seem important but it will later on) While we were waiting Alicia told us that we were going to be on the wrong side to see peter pan because when it rains the parade starts in frontierland. POOP!

After all our snacks were gone we still had some time to wait....

We dont believe in taking a nice photo&

Going through those caves looks like so much fun! Running ahead to jump out and scare sounds like something my dad would do too! BTM is one of my favourite rides; just the right thrill level.

Tom Sawyer Island looks like it was a blast! I haven't been over to the one in WDW, just DLR's years ago!! It's too bad about the paint brushes now, but hey, at least you can still play!!

Dole Whips and cupcakes and pretzels! YUM! Also, the lost balloon (it looks lost?) behind Brittany in front of the castle is hilariously awesome!
