YOLO Part Dos -- A Journey Beyond Your Wildest Imagination Updated 9/9 Trip Video

Hall Of Fame

After so much fun on the Streets of America we headed over to the Writers shop to see if we wanted to use a snack credit there. With no snack in hand we found ourselves at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame.

So much love for Uncle Walt

Creeper Alert!

Brittany was all for having her picture taken with Uncle Walt

And Alicia took over the job of being the major creeper

Desi Arnaz! Who doesn't love Desi Arnaz?!

Up next we played two games of Be that Statue

Next it was time to be Mary Tyler Moore and find our light

We decided it was time to move on so off we went to The Magic of Disney Animation

We were greeted by a CM who told us that the show will be starting any minute. Sorry Mushu we got another thing on our mind…Animation Academy!

This is one of our favorite things to do in Hollywood Studios.
We were lucky enough to make it into the next class, which we ended up waiting about 15 minutes.

Just updating my trip report notes

By the time we knew it the doors opened and we rushed in to get a seat!

After everyone sees my drawing they will never want me to paint shoes :rotfl:

Oh I did not notice an age limit sign. There was probably one but I guess I refused to listen. The CM didn't say anything about it so I would say go for it!

Alicia is the definition of a creeper

Welcome to Animation Academy!

During our class we were asked which characters we have drawn in past classes. We went through a long list of characters that many have drawn before. The two that hadn't been done a lot were Buzz Lightyear and Phineas and Ferb. The class had a vote and Buzz was the winner. Being the Toy Story fan I am I was pretty excited, we drew woody the last time we were here so it was perfect.

Lets get to drawing

Overall my opinion was that Buzz was pretty tough to draw. Mine just turned out to be a hot mess.

Once we left the class it was time to show off our works of art!

After being in the park for almost 2 hours we decided it was time to go on a ride. Off to tower of horrors we go! :rotfl:
When we got there we hoped Fantasmic would lower the crowds. Unfortunately there was a 30 min wait for ToT but it didn’t matter to us in the line we go!

What do you do while you wait in line? Update your trip report notes duhhh

Or you check up on your favorite social networking sites twitter and instagram

either way you play on your phone

And once you are done with stalking everyone you can you put your phone away and find your light

But if you’re someone like Andy who doesn’t have twitter or instagram and who doesn’t need to live on your phone your only option is to zone out and wish the line wasn’t as long

Your phone can only entertain you for so long. Time to entertain ourselves. Alicia took the camera and took pictures of some “ghosts”

The line was moving fairly quickly, as we twisted and turned throughout the line Brittany noticed something and shouted out “Look at that Lizard, he’s getting crispy fried!”

This guy in front of us thought it was the funniest thing and then throughout the rest of our wait he was just laughing along with us. Mostly when Brittany said something he laughed…true love!

Waiting….more waiting…. More waiting

Buzz looks HARD to draw. I was so frustrated the time we drew Tinkerbell, she was awful to draw!

On the one hand, I'm really sad for that lizard that is getting crispy fried, but on the other hand I'm a little jealous he gets to live in a Tower of Horrors lamp!!

I haven't drawn Tink yet. I think my problem with the class is how fast they go and that there are no erasers.
Terror of Horrors :rotfl: I'm glad you called it that! That lizard is living a real nice life.

Did You See Them Ghosts?!

The wait was taking a toll on us we were going crazy. We were just laughing about anything and everything

As we got closer a bellhop was walking through the line. He stayed in character the whole time and was on the real creepy side. There were a group of teenage girls that were scared and showing it therefore the guy was enjoying just starring at them creepily.

We were getting closer to the hotel.

Now for any of you who may have taken a seat on the ledge while waiting you may know the pain it can cause when you slide off. As Brittany first called the “butt grater” which I told her that it was more the “thigh grater” and she went off with “the part in your leg where you store your donuts” :rotfl:

Once we got over the butt/thigh grater it was time to play another round of Be that Statue

Andy was not amused

But everyone loves Andy

And soon Alicia decided to play a new be that statue. We like to call it Be Andy

As our wait gradually got shorter Alicia found a plant of some sort and was entertaining herself till we got inside.

We were finally in and made our way to the library. We watched the movie and did the sally shine shakey legs.
We twisted and turned through the boiler room and finally got onto our elevator! Sadly we were in the 2nd row so there was a very slim chance that we would be seeing them ghosts in the elevator shaft. You win some you lose some.

As for our picture we “found our light” a new trip favorite

After we returned to safe grounds Brittany got mad because she didn’t see the ghosts. Seriously this is probably one of the major things we look forward to each trip. It’s one of those things that millions of people don’t even realize its there.

Next we walked over to RnR but the wait was 70 minutes. We came up with the same decision that if we were to wait in another long line that we would be waiting in line for Toy Story Mania. So off we went.

While we were walking past the hat down the stairs Brittany recognized someone passing us. She told us to look behind us, I wont lie I was scare I had no clue who it could have been. That’s when we saw her…the lady from the bus stop the previous night :rotfl: I over heard her talking to the person she was with saying that they should get fastpasses for Toy Story Mania. By this time it was almost 10 at night, I will just leave it at that.

We reached Toy Story Mania and waited in line for about 50 minutes. I think we used up all our energy while waiting in line for ToT because by this time all I wanted to do was sit.

Be that Orange crayon?

As always Toy Story mania killed my arm but it was worth it!
We decided to walk back to RnR to check the wait time in hopes of it being shorter than before. On our way there we noticed that Mulch Sweat and Shears were out in front of the hat.

Once we reached our destination we jumped into a 50 minute wait line. A CM gave Brittany her “Disney Duty” card.

As we waited in line we discussed about going back to room afterwards because we were getting tired. But that is not allowed!
When we got to the studio Alicia decided since everyone was squished up against the door that it would be a good time to relax.

As we were lining up to get a row for our super stretch limo there were 2 open rows away from each other. The CM took four people from the single rider line, which happened to be 2 brothers and 2 friends. He split them up and one of the girls asked if the brothers could ride together and if she could switch. He told them to stay where he put them. Thats what happens when you get in the single rider line, you get separated from your party. Sucks to suck

After the whole fiasco we were put in the first 2 rows! FRONT ROW YESSS!!!!

Our plans of going back to the room failed because we still had about an hour left till the park closed. Off to ToT we go! This time the wait was much better and we didn’t have to wait so long. When we got to the boiler room and to our row we for some reason got split up I’m not sure why? But it worked out perfectly!

Brittany and me got the front row with an empty seat, which meant we got to do one of the photos we wanted to do on this trip.

So overall this ride was PERFECT! We saw them ghosts and got a great photo! On our way out I overheard the guy in the yellow shirt ask his friend “how do people know when they are going to take the photo?” :rotfl:

We decided to call it a night so to the bus stop we went. When we got there we saw a nice charter bus waiting. The bus driver called for 4 more people and boom we were on. I grabbed the front seat sitting next to a little girl who looked so worn out. Brittany and Alicia sat together maybe 4 rows behind me. Andy was suppose to sit behind them but a father took the seat up with his stroller so Andy didn’t get a seat and had to sit in the small space in front of the toilet on the floor.

We ended up getting back to the room at midnight and passed out.

People that do not understand the SINGLE. RIDER. line are so annoying!

PERFECT! :rotfl::lmao::thumbsup2

Oh my goodness, that ride photo is possibly the best ride photo I have ever seen!! You should all be so proud of yourselves!

Awesome drawings!! I haven't done the class, maybe next trip!! Oh my god, that photo on TOT is priceless!! I will definitely have to do that sometime next trip too!! What are the ghosts?! I'm so lost on that, never seen it, though I have heard of it. Also, how do you know when the photo is? Bahah, TOT is the one I'm always confused on!

So I must be a really bad DISer because I have absolutely no idea what ghosts you are talking about on ToT! You will have to fill me in!

Thank you so much :thumbsup2 we were really happy about the way it turned out.

The ghosts: I actually have not heard anything about them here on the Dis, which is the reason I feel like no one knows that they are there. A couple years back while I was researching disney world secrets we came across someone saying that there are statues of the ToT guests in the elevator shafts.
I don't even remember the first time I've seen them but they are there. Most times its hard to see them because if they take you up before the drop the sunlight messes with your vision and you can't make them out in the dark. Other times you just fall right passed them and its impossible to see. The first time Brittany ever witnessed them it was perfect. We ended up stopping in the elevator shaft and they were lit up. So I can say that my eyes aren't playing tricks! Its just knowing where to look and having a good ride sequence to spot them ghosts!I hope one day you both will get to see them although sometimes it is a little creepy.

hahaha omg you guys r the cutest I love the TOT pics!

thanks so much :thumbsup2

We're Going To Disney!!!
I come to you with some exciting news! About 2 weeks ago Alicia came home to get ready to move off of DCP housing and into a new apartment to call home. While she was home we went out to Applebee’s for my YOLO birthday dinner and booked the next YOLO TRIP and we got excited for our upcoming Disney Cruise!

YOLO Part 3- A Birthday Celebration
This will be the longest YOLO vacation so far, which means more time for food and craziness!

Who: Alicia, Andy, Brittany, Sam
When: July 8 – July 14
It took us FOREVER to come up with a time to go we were originally planning August and we had an Ohana reservation but because of work schedules we were not able to go during this time.
Where: Port Orleans Riverside – Princess Room!!!!
It took us quite some time decided where we were going to be staying this trip. First we were going to stay at the Poly because we’ve been wanting to stay there for forever. Then we looked into split stay between Poly and Wilderness lodge (My personal favorite), Poly and a princess room, Poly and all-star sports. After all the possibilities we decided to just save money and stay at the Riverside the whole time
The Riverside is great because that’s where Brittany & her family have stayed pretty much every time she went to Disney. And I’m just in love with the resort! Plus we were going to stay there this past October but the Gflo was just calling our names.
Why: IT’S BRITTANY’S 21ST BIRTHDAY!!!! and YOLO

We will be doing the Dining Plan because lefts face it we are fatties. So this trip we each got to pick a place to eat at and no one could say no!
Alicia: Yak & Yeti and House of Blues (for the juicy lucy)
Andy: Chef Mickeys
Brittany: Mama Melrose and Biergarten
Me: Sanaa

We are beyond excited for this trip! I just can’t wait to be back at the happiest place on Earth!!!

Along with planning YOLO Part 3 we also getting very excited for our upcoming Disney Dream Cruise!!!

Who: total of 14 people! Bring on the craziness!!! But us 4 YOLOers will be sharing a cabin.
When: DVC members cruise September 29-October 3
(FYI: My family is not DVC owner we booked before DVC chartered the boat & when we found out that we were going to be kicked off a nice couple from the Disboards put our reservations under theres. I am eternally grateful!)

Where: Pop Century – the night before
Disney Dream – 3 night cruise
Fort Wilderness – 2 nights
We also had a hard time deciding where to stay after the cruise. Ma wanted to stay at the treehouse villas at Saratoga but only slept 9 and by this time we will have 10 people. So we booked 2 cabins at Fort Wilderness, which happens to be the resort we stayed at when we were children before KC was born and we didn’t fit.

Why: The cruise is my sisters after wedding celebration as well as Gma’s Birthday celebration. Gma wanted to go on the Disney Cruise after she retired and we are finally doing it!
Then Disney World for 2 nights after the cruise for MICKEYS NOT SO SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY!!!!

I’ve recently been reading about the Disney Dream and the DVC cruise in general to see what I should expect. All I can say is so much FOOD is going to be consumed and gifts will be getting received! They go all out for the DVC members cruise and we will also be doing the fish extender exchange that is a gift exchange between DISers on the cruise.

There will be a LOT of Disney Magic happening in the next couple months to come. Which means more videos and Trip Reports! I believe Brittany will be doing the YOLO trip report, Alicia will be doing the cruise report, and I will be making the videos for both!

Wow, you have two trips coming up! :hyper:

I was hoping you were going to say you were making plans for a last minute trip next week when I'll be there! :upsidedow

All your trips sound like so much fun! I don't think I have posted on your TRs before, but I have been an avid lurker/reader :) Can't wait to read more!!
