Yo Ho Yo Ho off to Disney these pirates go -ssshhhh it's a secret

Thankfully we have it worked out for the trip to be paid for as well as spending money. I thought I would do my park and skim some money off the top of my checks to put aside for extras and maybe a new camera. I work PT and not a lot of hours so my checks are not usually very big. It's usually "mad" money sometimes bill depends on what we need it for that month. Well I decided any thing over $100 would be good. Any guesses as to what my first 2 checks were for? First one $90 next $101. :rotfl: DH found it funny. I just said go figure it's how it works w/ me sometimes.

We as to the camera. I have one that I like. It's a nice Kodak but it's a bit big and bulky. Fine for Christmas and things like that but I have been wanting a smaller one to fit in my bag/purse for things like this trip, when we go to the amusement park, stuff like that. Well I was at Target today and was looking at the clearance cameras to see what they had. There was a FujuFilm one that was origionally $135 last week it was still $110. Today it was marked to $64. So I looked at it and asked if they had any more. They only had the floor model and would sell it to me as the "as is" price. The store clerk said it would prob. be $50 something. (I guess the register tells him) Well he found the stuff and made the sticker for it. It came to $45!! I was so excited. The battery has to charge so I haven't had time to look at it yet but I am happy w/ that price.

Hey, your adrs look great! And I got the customized maps too, they are pretty neat!

I just bought a fujifilm camera too. I bought the fujifilm finepix, hot pink. I got mine on sale for 119.00 I was so excited. I've been taking pics for 3 weeks staight.

Thanks. I feel a lot better about these ADR's. Now I need to stop trying to over plan.

My camera is a Finepix J50. Wish it was hot pink. I really wanted a colored one but at this price can't pass it up. I am going to take a bunch of picts and upload them to see how I like it and make sure it works ok (since it was the floor model)

Well I got some iron one transfers and 2 shirts to start a trial run on my shirts. I decided to print one out at my parents on Dad's nice printer. Well I learned that sometimes simple is better. We could not figure out how to print it the right size. It kept streatching it out and making it too big. :scared1: That wasted 2 pieced of transfer paper. I did a trial run of one w/o color on my basic HP printer and it came out the right size. Got to wash the shirts tomorrow and try one out and see what happens. I'll post when I get it done.

I have been looking for some shoes for the park. I read lots of good thing on here about Tevas for flip flops and crocs. I am not sold on the crocs just yet. I can get blisters if shoes have rubber on top that rub on my feet so I'll have to see about them. Did get some good reviews on the Pay less version. I might try them out w/ the bogo deals. The boys need sandals also. But I did end up buying 2 different Teva's sandals. I found them at sierra trading post on clearance and w/ a 30% code I paid $25 for them shipped. I got the teva olowahu and the teva Kena they are orange but I will make them work. I thought that was a pretty good deal. I ordered them on Fri. night and got a e-mail already that they are being shipped. One was almost gone I must have bought the last one b/c when I went back later it was gone.

I finally finished the autograph books. I decided to keep it simple I was considering making sections for each charater meal, each park and in Epcot each country. But what if I had too much room in one and not enough in another? :confused3 So I simply attached a cutouts on every other page and am leaving the rest empty. That way any one any where can sign and I hope to use the pages in Epcot like a pass port where they can get it stamped in each country and some one can write Hello or something in their language on it. I think this will work well plus, I had to aske, do I really want to try to flip though all 3 books to find the right page for each character? nope!

I got my new '09 DVD (finally) the other day. Ok so it's a lot like the "08 video but does show a few new things. I want to sit down w the boys and get them to watch to get some ideas. It's so hard to want to prepare them in some ways but not so much to tip them off.

I got my transfer papers and finally got some ink for my printer. I got one set of transfers printed out BUT all of the other ones are just not working. I have no idea what I am doing wrong and it's frustrating (and wasteful). It might be b/c of the light paper and I have to flip the transfer and it doesn't work the same way. Off today to get some dark transfer paper and print on paper to see if that makes a difference. Plus b/c my dryer is broken and I am line drying (I keep telling my self I am saving on my elcectri bill) I can't make them yet b/c I have to dry them in the dryer. I am waiting until the neighbor goes out of town and I have to watch the cats and borrow her dryer.

Aww, sorry you aren't having much luck with the shirts.
I used about 8 pieces of paper before I got it right, make sure you practice on regular paper so you aren't wasting the transfer paper(that stuff is not cheap)
I don't know if your printer would be the same, but I click printer preferences on mine and that brings me to where I can flip image so it reverses for the iron on, and I can change the size of the picture.

Wow your plans are so exciting! I'm new to the board, so I'm trying to get caught up on everyone's PTR's....

I love crocs! I have the maryjane crocs, I wore them EVERY day for a week last year in Disney World, and I walked soooo much. I never had aching feet, no blisters (my feet are also blister prone, they are very wide!)..i DID however get little polkadot sunburn on my feet:rotfl:

Can't wait to see more about your planning!

Welcome aboard shordiebecka

Thats funny about the polka dots. Years ago I had flip flops w/ mickey cut outs on top. I desperatly wanted a mickey tan but never got one. I am going to keep my eyes out for a good deal on some crocs also. I need to look for some sandals for the boys also.

I got my tevas in today. Yeah! The orange ones while a bit bright are really cute! They were a bit tight when I first put them on they streatched out right away. I have been wearing them around the house to get a feel of them. very comfy.

I got to looking at the menu's and over thinking again last night. :surfweb: I started adding up our meals and trying to decide if we were making a good choice w/ our meal plan. (getting our money's worth). I know with the kids we will and it will be over so that helps balance our our plan. The main thing is that I don't want to have to think about how much meals are we can just order any thing we want w/o having to think about it.

I called to see if we could move Le Cellier from lunch to dinner but no openigs yet. I will prob. try again though and see if something opens up later.

I also went to call about luch at The Plaza to change the time. I used to have it on Fri. then a while back called and switched it to sat and got a new confirmation number. Well when I gave the number today she pulled up someone else resi. :scared1: She looked by my name and still found the Fri. resi. I was none to happy (and glad I called). Either way we were able to get the time I wanted. I wish there was a way on line to check/verify our ADR's just to be sure it was all there w/o having to call and hold just to check.

Last time I went to Disney, I overthought the meal plan, and it's worth. I was constantly trying to decide if it was worth it! By the end of the trip..it was so worth it. I didn't even have to look at the prices of things, I could order whatever I wanted, and I love having everything on my key to the world card..no need for credit cards, cash, etc etc. Just my two cents :)

p.s--- yay for tevas coming!

That's what DH keep reminding me. To stop over thinking every thing or I wont be able to enjoy my self when we go.

This seems to be a popular topic for me lately.

As I have said before DH had not had a lot of openions on where to eat. BUT he does keep asking about the Rainforrest Cafe. I can't tell you the last time we ate there it's been years but he always remember the "maya pastalya" and talks about it a lot. I checked their menu and they still cary is so I make ADRs for us to eat there in the AK at 5. I think we will go to DTD after that maybe. I got it w/o a problem so hopefully it won't be to busy then.

All I can say is that Sierra Trading post needs to stop sending me e-mails. I got one today for a one day only 35% off certain products sale. I went to look for shoes for the boys but no luck in the shoe dept for them but I did find some Haynes shirts for $1.35 after the discount. Too bad they only had the older 2 sizes but I'll take it for that price. I need plenty for the shirts I am making any way. I did find me some more Tevas though. They were only $7.15 after the extra discount so I got 2 pairs of the same in different colors. As I explained it to DH the only sandals I could get for that cost in the store are the cheep plastic ones that give me blisters and the top strap pop out after about a month of wear. It's so worth it.Teva Elina.

Welcome to Spring in Virginia. Go figure one day I was breaking in my new Teva's and ordering 2 more pairs then 2 days later we are under 8" of snow. Then 4 days later my new Tevas arrive as I sit out side talking to the neighbor enjoying 70deg weather watching the snow melt. It's supposed to but close to 80 by Sunday. Next week end?? 40's. It's crazy. At least I gt a few days to break in my new shoes before putting them away again.

We also got passes to a local amusement park this year B usch Gardens Williamsburg. We usually do Kings Dominion. For us it's closer and has a water park built in but we decided for something different. The other one doesn't have a water park. Well it does but it's a seperate park. The other advantage is that they have monthly payments instead of one lump sum and when we have to finish paying for our Disney trip next week we don't have the extra cash sitting around for 5 more passes up front. Plus some of my friends from "back home" where I grew up all have passes so it will be fun to meet up w/ friends and their kids to go w/ our kids. The nieghbor and her family goes also. She has a DD the age of my youngest DS so that will be good for him.

Things are coming tog. for our trip. My SIL was asking about the plans and my shirt issues (she know about them thanks to my complaing on my FB about it). THey want to go back one year but right now they have 4 DS all under 6 :scared1: so maybe in 4 yrs when they are ages 4-10 and mine are 8-13 we can plan a big family trip out there. It would be fun. Since they want to stay in the wilderness lodge I will have to start saving as soon as this trip ends. (then again when they are traveling w/ 6 they will hav to rethink that any way) She reminded me not to overplan and think it. This coming from an overplanninger so I guess I better listen. I have finally stopped over thinking/analizing our ADR's and am letting them go. I am so used to trying to be sure to get my money's worth out of stuff I find my self mostly overthinking the meal plan. Dh isn't worried so.... neither should I be. right??

well off to take advantage of the nice weather.... doing laundry. :laundy: try to save some electricity and hang out my 10 loads of laundry that needs to be done. I hang it on the back porch. Wonder what the new neighbors moving in today will think. There is a front door that goes right into the living room and a side door (the old neighbors used) that is off a deck into the kitchen that looks right onto my porch. Oh well...

I know what you mean about the weather!!! Can't catch a break in CT either. I'm torn because I really hate the snow, but I can't decide if I hate the mud from the snow more :confused3

what an absolutely beautiful wknd we had. It was low 80's and amazing. I spent Sat. donig laundry and hanging it outside, raking some leave and painting a cablinet that I have been trying to redo for months now. I am almost done. Going to go put on the second coat in a few minutes so I can get it back in the kitchen and replace the one I have in there now. (it's for my cook books, place mats...) then I had to go into work.

So Sunday we went to Yorktown to the beach to meet my parents and mom's parents. Didn't make it to the historical stuff this time. We got Ben and Jerry's Icecream and DS4 was covered in Chocolate. I'll try to get some picts up later. He didn't want any thing to do w/ the beach/water last yr. when we would go but this yr couldn't get him away so we will have to make some trips back this year. It's nice to live near some beaches, esp. ones that are less crowded. Then I had to go to work :(

So what do I get to do on Monday w/ upper 70's weather? Clean the house that didn't get done this weekend, more laundry and one last coat of paint on the cabinet. At least that will get some outside some more.

Nice!!! I can't wait until we're in the 70s here! Sounds like a great relaxing weekend! Mine was too! I won't complain about the weather, it was 60. Now today, I will complain, we're back to 36-40, and rain all day.:scared:

I know this is some what typical for March here. Its' so nice then tomorrow into the 60's then 50's and rainy for a few days then warming back up a little.

I can't believe that it's only a 1 1/2 months till our trip. I know it will be fast. I am going to do the shirts next week. Well I still need to buy a few more and one more pack of transfer papaer but I have them planned out and need to wait till next month to do those. Here is a pict of the autograph books. I found crayola mark that have a hole on top that I am using a ring to attach it to the book plus the tops slide around and stay attahed. I found some Wedding disposable cameras on clearance. I got a pack of 3 for the price of a pack of 2 then got some stickers to decorate it. I will put the names on it so the boys know who's is whose.

It's true what they say about March coming in like a lion and out like a lamb. We have had our share of both and we are only 13 days in. It started w/ snow and have had it twice plus some 80+ deg. days.
