My DD(9) will be sailing the Seven Seas on Wednesday Nov. 26th, the day before Thanksgiving. Last year was her first time and she still talks about how much fun it was :D Even though we'll be there for 2 weeks, this was the day I was hoping for. Works great with our plans.

I forgot to call right at 7:00 am and I didn't get through till 7:20am. I thought for sure they would be gone, especially during a busy time like Thanksgiving. I wanted to wake her up right then and tell her the good news. Instead I left her a note and drew a picture of a pirate ship, including cannons and a skull and crossbones flag. At the top, I wrote Yo Ho Yo Ho.......it is a Pirates life for you. When she woke up she called me at work so excited.
:D

Aww that's so cute! I am sure she will have just as much fun as she did last year. My sister, who is 9 as well, went on it a few weeks ago, and came back with a HUGE smile on her face. :)

That is an absolutely precious idea! I think I will do the same to tell my three the morning they are scheduled to do the pirate cruise! (SHHH - it's a surprise!)

Thanks for the idea!

Sounds like a blast !
:)

Aye, but we're loved by our mummies and dads
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!

Tell me more about the Pirates Cruise!!!:teeth:

Cindala,

It takes place at the GF Marina. A pontoon boat takes the kids around Bay Lake. They make stops at each of the beaches at the CR, Poly and FW. They have clues to follow and eventually X marks the spot and they find the treasure. Each child is given a bag of pirate bootie. There are party treats, some candy I think and gold coins, necklaces, rings and squishey bugs. The children are given a lunch which includes pbj sandwiches, juice box and a gummy snack. Prior to departing, once you check your child in, they are given a life jacket, and red bandana. There were 2-3 CM's who accompanied the kids. They were paired up in groups of 2 before boarding the boat. The kids have a name tag and they have the parents name listed. When they return, they are all singing and laughing. They let the kids off one at a time as the parents check in.

The GF does a wonderful job with all the childrens activites. In addition to the children having a blast, it provides the parents with 2-3 hours of "free time";)

This is the info listed on Deb Wills site, the only correction is the age limit. The child must be 4 not 3.

Pirate Cruise - Children wear pirate bandannas and follow clues to search Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon for buried treasure. They sail to many exotic "ports of call" (Resort Marinas) to collect treasure. At the final port of call, children have a snack and split up the "buried treasure." Children who are potty trained (no pull-ups) and ages 3-10 may attend. Lunch is provided (Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, Gummy bears, Krispy Treat and Juice box).

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Available to all guests, Cost is $28.17 plus tax.
Reservations 120 days in advance 407-WDW-DINE
