Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirate's Life for We Halloween *2012* PTR has begun!

All caught up and learned which horse was Lillian's didn't know that before. My daughter did the carousel until she got to ride Mary Poppins horse. Great TR!

I can't believe how many people don't know about that horse. I was shocked at the reactions from the CMs when my kid did. But hey their lack of knowledge meant he got it all 4x. Now which one is Mary Poppins horse? Maybe we can quest for that one next time. Love learning new things God bless the DIS!:littleangel:

So we had now done literally everything in Tomorrowland so I asked Colton if he wanted to re-do anything...so another spin on Autopia was in order.

Next we hit the big two (yes again) Splash & BTMRR.

After that we decided to head over to Adventureland to do the Tiki Room Dole whips all around and to use up the "extra" on our snack coupons a couple of those big yummy pineapple spears too! The pineapple spears went into the backpack for a snack later and we entered the courtyard to eat our dole whips and wait for the show.

Now I LOVE this show and when we had come in 2002 I had noticed a few of my friends needed a feather lift, they looked as if they were moulting. A bit moth eaten and old...still loved the show but left feeling a bit sad. Not so this trip all my birdy friends looked fresh and sprightly. The show was wonderful as always and Colton was delighted with it. We have been home 2 1/2 months (I will finish this thing someday I swear) and at random moments in random places Colton still breaks out singing "In the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki room" it makes me smile and doesn't annoy me at all unlike the other song he learned this trip. I am sure you can guess.

It was now time for another ride on the Jungle Cruise. On my mission quest for this trip I had promised myself to ride the Jungle cruise after dark. I had never thought of doing this in my life...I figured it would be hard to see and/or be closed once the sun went down...how naive of me! I heard about others on the DIS doing this and decided I had to try it! IT WAS A WHOLE NEW AND TOTALLY AMAZING EXPERIENCE! If you have never done this put it on your bucket list!

There was no line at night. I mean no line we walked right onto our boat. (I guess alot of people think as I did that they are not open or not as good after dark) Our skipper was amazing even with the old jokes...he and Colton joked & laughed the whole way. The "scenes" were lit but not overly bright...It made the whole trip and all the animatronics look so much more REAL. Colton liked that you could hear but not really see the piranahs. (I have never really "seen" the piranahs are they even really there I thought it was just a churning water effect? but Colton swears he saw them on our first ride.) We will do this at least once on every trip from now on.

There are more pics folks I promise just not a one during this stretch not sure why?

Next up the shows.....

I have been enjoying your TR!!! It looks like it was so much fun. And yes, the are piranahs in the water on the JC! When we went in 2009 we did the ride in the dark and it really is different than doing it in the day! So much so that even though I knew the piranahs were going to start churning the water, I SCREAMED when they started. In my defense it was because we sat there for a few seconds with nothing happening. I knew what was going to happen but because the piranahs didn't start right away when I was expecting it I got spooked by them when they finally did appear! My DH just sat there killing himself laughing. Oh well. I do love the JC at night!

Glad you are enjoying yourself...and that is a funny story...but mean hubby for laughing at your fright (but mine would have done the same thing.

I need to post a few more times B4 I go to bed I am Oh so close to 1000 posts!

The Tiki Room has been one of my favorites since I was a kid and I am so glad they refreshed it. There is nothing as sweet as a Dole Whip while watching the pre-show. I think I have always had a bit of a crush on Jose. :)

We, too, love to ride the JC late at night when the park starts getting quiet. It really adds to the experience.

I think the dole whip is a love it or hate it thing...for me it is part of the experience..If I saw the show 3x in a day there would be 3 dole whips involved. Just really don't get the people that say they taste waxy or plastic. However I think the float is disgusting just not the same experience. Have you ever had the giant pineapple spears? Really yummy and a great snack!

1000 isn't much compared to some who have 10,000 or 20,000 but it is a milestone for me..

NOw is everybody having a Happy St Pats Day today?

Here in Montana St Pats is also parent teacher conference day. I slipped ours in earlier this week so did not have to do that today and have Colton home all day.

SOOO for all you Colton fans out there here is our day so far.

Before bed last night we put green food coloring in the toilet bowl. When Colton got up he went in there and yelled "Mom could you come here?" I innocently say what happened? and he says "Leprechauns Duh!"

We went in to do our breakfast, Green eggs & ham of course! Colton stomped around the kitchen saying stuff like "That is disgusting!" "Green eggs are not normal!" "I am not eating that" then he of course takes his first bite and says "This is delicious! I do like green eggs and ham"

While he was eating Daddy snuck in to re-color the toilet bowl and when Colton went in this time he yelled from the bathroom "The leprachaun is still in the house! Don't they know how to flush! and proceeded to check under all the beds and in all the closets to see where it was hiding. Hope you all have a wonderful day! More TR tomorrow Promise!

Well, considering your join date is Dec 2010, that seems like alot of posts to me!!

My kindergartener and 2nd grader's classrooms make a big deal w/ the leprachauns too!! So cute...the 2nd graders each made a leprachaun trap and they get notes from him all week and he leaves glittery footprints etc, etc. My DD7 says "there's no way they don't exist!!":rolleyes1

So cute! Do you have a pic of the leprechaun traps? Maybe next year we can make one too!

Great update. I love Dole Whip floats! :lovestruc

I haven't been to the Tiki Room since 2008.....I see I'm gonna need to address that oversight at some stage.

The kids just covered and decorated a box from home and my daughter painted a few small rocks gold and put them inside to "entice" the leprechaun.;)

That is indeed something that needs to be remidied on your next trip!

Cool in my calendar so I remember for next year.

Just got back from meeting the vet. My lovely horse Rowan has had the stitches removed from her cervix and we can expect a new baby in the next 24-48 hours!

How exciting to have the new life joining you. It makes spring seem so much more real.

Now if the snow would just get that memo.....I do not want snow on the ground for Easter!

I was thinking that about our weather too.

There was a tornado in a town less than 60 miles from me. Quite a shock, we don't get tornadoes.

Yes it did. The weather service confirmed it.

Yikes those things used to scare me when we lived in AZ they touched down occasionally but have you ever noticed in the western states they generally take out sheds, mobile homes and above ground wiring? I wouldn't live in a mobile home park where there are tornadoes if you paid me.

Heelllloooooo Sherri!!!

I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful trip report! I have just read the whole thing..................from start to finish. I had finished my chores for the day, grabbed a cup of coffee and set about having a wonderful afternoon, just me and the Disboards. I was going to do some more of my report, but got so engrossed in yours " I just couldn't put it down"!!!:rotfl:

I too am off to DL in October am looking forward to it immensely. It is just so nice to know that there are other people out there with the same love of Disney that we can share our experiences with.

Here in Australia back in the 70's, I can remember so fondly every Sunday night Wonderful World of Disney screened on our TV. I can also remember how I used to tell myself every time I saw Tinkerbell wave her wand and create pixie dust that one day I was going to visit that castle even if it was so far away. That feeling has never left me..................

I hope everything goes well with the anticipated newborn!

Take care

Sue

Thank you for the compliment...I am enjoying your TR as well. I too watched Wonderful World of Disney as a child. By some lucky accident I grew up just a couple of hours from DL and had Disney loving parents (not as obsessed as their 1st offspring though) who saved the money to take us to DL every year (back then it was a day trip).

I did promise another episode yesterday but well got playing around elsewhere on the boards and never quite got back to it... I will get something up this weekend..but we will make that a goal instead of a promise. No news on baby watch...I guess she will have it when she is ready.
