Not much exciting news to report this time but I feel like talking to myself or anyone that is still reading along with me. DH is sick of hearing it already. :scared1:
John barely listens, so I feel your pain! I am still here!

So, Photobucket is my nightmere right now. It seems that I can no longer access my account. I log in and it times out. I am working with their support techs to see what the issue is because I can see everything fine from my work computer. :confused3 When I go to my PTR or any of my ther TR's, I see giant white spaces where pictures should be. I don't get the photobucket thingy that says that the picture is no longer available, blah blah blah...just a giant blank space and it is making me NUTS. I worrry about not being able to post any more pictures here or on my future TR's which is making me mad. I hope that they can figure it out but for now they are saying that they cannot replicate the issue. I just asked if there are issues reported with any Windows updates...maybe that's it.... :confused3

so did you figure any of this out yet? i didn't really get what you were texting me:confused3

I did get my customized maps yesterday! YAY!:banana: I was doing the dance but DH could care less. Says we don't need maps. :confused3

me too me too!! now i just need frames!!!

Friends just returned from a 4 day trip with no planning done before they left. :scared1: I thought for sure they were going to come home and hate it. Thank goodness for Facebook....I kept sending messages with suggestions and tips! Turned out they LOVED it and now my friend may surprise his wife and take her back over Memorial Weekend.

So were they able to have any yummy foods or what?

Question for any AP reader out there. I can't remember....can you book more than one room off the AP discount and does the AP holder have to stay in the room? I am thinking if not, I can see if there are any more deals at POP like the one I was able to get in case he decides to go for it. :)

This weekend for sure I want to get my t-shrits at least started. Mom, DH and I went to WalMart and got all of the iron on transfers. They are the only place around here that even has the darn things. I also got a ton of t-shirts...well, maybe not a ton but 9 white ones and 3 black ones. Not sure how to make the black ones because I have to invert the page and stuff and that is so over my head. :sad2: Gonna try though and when I get ours done if my friend Jenn tells me what she wants (hint, hint) I will make hers too....and gee, maybe I can deliver them when I go and visit her next month. ;)
send me my choices again..sorrrrrry. also email me which ones you are using!!

Oh, I got a Mickey statue for my garden. Interesting thing...I saw it on line for around 25 bucks. I got it for $6.99 at a local discount store. :woohoo: I was hoping that they had more than one kind so that I could get a few for my garden this year. Very cute. I'd post a picture but you know that story already. :sad1:i wish i had a garden..wait no i dont... i kill those things:lmao:

I was talking to DH again about ADR's. Special conversation...to say the least! I asked him about our anniversary again because I keep obsessing about it and his response was.......how the he** do I know what I will be hungry for on September 17th at around 6 p.m.? :lmao: Apparently I am making him nuts with all of this obsessing.
:lmao::lmao::lmao: I love Joe, he i one funny man!

Any one come up with any more ideas for an anniversary gift for DH? I am thinking another stein from the Germany pavillion and if I can do it....an Illuminations cruse for all of us. I really, really want to do that...big time! My mom wants to take a tour but I'd rather do a cruise this year if we can afford to. Mom's getting me Disney dollars for my birthday so who knows,,,,,,
i told you, beer of the month club membership..and a stein to drink it with!
That's it for now.........:dancer:

Sorry it took so long for the reply.. life keeps getting in my Dising way!!

Hi Sophia,

What a shame about the photobucket problem - hope that gets sorted out soon, I can just imagine how frustrating it must be!

I can empathise with you about the DH just not getting it with the ADRs - much as Grumpy loves Disney, he's just not that bothered about the choices for eating. He knows where he doesn't want to eat, but gets annoyed when I get going about the different choices. Men! ;)

Talking of him, he was jealous of Grumpy's stein, so you could get him one like that! :rotfl: Just tell him to watch he doesn't take an eye out!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Jenn, I'll resend my shirt stuff via email. Also, I have not talked to my friends to find out where they ate except for Emeril's. They loved that!

Di, I am definitely going to get the stein for Joe that Grumpy got. Joe loved that stein! I have to figure out how to get it and hide it. :lmao:

Well, we are still going back and forth with Photobucket. :confused3 I know it's not rocket science but it is frustrating as all heck. I am now looking to see what other photo storage sites I can find that will work so that I can put pics here on DIS. Unfortunately this whole Photobucket has turned into a family argument. :sad2::sad1:

Yikes about the photobucket! Hope it gets sorted out soon!

I'm sure Disney have some way of secretly transporting gifts/things for people - they can do anything! :goodvibes

I'm back and caught up!! I love the ring! Also, I really think you should do Jiko for the dinner! Can't wait to see you guys wearing the t-shirts. I remember making those for NSYNC concerts LOL!! I'm back in Cleveland right now before my spring quarter starts on Monday - yucky. I need to convince my mom to come for a weekend to Disney to use the 40% off pin code, but she said she is too busy. She didn't even look at her calendar before saying it so I know she just really doesn't want to go. Any tips? Hope all is well with you!!

Di,

No luck on the photobucket so I am going to just se the DISer Photo section for the pictures I post. The photobucket support team is no help at all.

I think I am going to call and see what I might be able to arrange with Disney. You're right....they can probably do it!

Welcome back! Thanks for the Jiko suggestion. I am going to check their menu on All Ears. It's one place we have never been before but I don't remember why.

We normally don't do the matchy matchy t-shirt thing unless we're at Disney. :lmao: I can't even imagine Joe's reaction if I ever suggested it outside of a Disney trip. Believe me, he is not thrilled about this but I think he's just humoring me. :rolleyes1

So, what do you think of our weather? :cool2: At least it is not snowing. :rotfl: I think you should ask your mom what she's busy doing and why she doesn't think she can take a break. :rolleyes1 Sometimes if I do that enough to Joe, he caves in. :dance3: Basically, I drive him nuts until he agrees! :woohoo:

I've spent the last hour or so finalizing my Mousekeeping envelopes. :yay: they are finally done! :woohoo: I will do the same thing I did last year, which is put cash in them now so that they are ready to go. I know, I know, it's a bit soon, right? I usually just fill them and put them in my handy dandy trip binder or my passporter and they are ready to go.

I also finalized my CM thank you cards, which I will put inside my tip envelopes. Yep, I am a dork. I get those ready too. One thing I don't do though is fill them in advance since I have no idea what our tips will be. I make envelopes for each TS meal, put the thank you cards inside which usually correspond with the theme of the TS location and put them in my back pack. I then put the tip inside and leave them with the bill. :rolleyes1

Yay, two more things done. Well, not technically done done as I still have to print and laminate the cards.

Hahaha, you're right - at least it's not snowing! and I don't think it is too soon to do your Mousekeeping stuff! I wanted to tell you that I was thinking about your CM thank you cards on my trip. We really only had a few CM's that were especially friendly this trip! And Eddie  from Rose & Crown was nice AND cute!! LOL! Look for him when you go - if he's even still there in September!

Jiko was great. You should definitely consider it. My parents both LOVED it and so did I. Our waitress was extremely helpful and provided great service. Also there weren't a thousand little kids running around or strollers banging into you like at Boma. Great atmosphere and great food! perfect for an anniversary!!

As for my mom - this morning I finally got her to say that she'd like to take a trip - she just doesn't want to go to Disney!!!!!!!! I tried to say "Yeah but I have a PIN code and it would be cheaper than anywhere else! No worries about transportation, etc. Once you pay for your vacation - that's it!" I think she's thinking about it LOL. I'm trying to make a list of things to do that you wouldn't think about at Disney to persuade her. Any ideas?!

PS last night I found a photo of my girlfriends and I from 8th grade with our homemade matching t-shirts for the OTown concert at Nautica downtown! Remember that place??

You are so crafty!! I should make those kind of things! How did you make them..if you don't mind sharing :)

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't run across too many awesome CM's. :confused3 I'm going to take them with me in the hopes that I run into some great ones while we are there! ;)

We had Rose and Crown on our original list of places to eat. Lunch I think if I remember. If we go there, I will be sure to tell Eddie you said hi.

I told Joe about Jiko this morning. We're going to check out the menu together. Thanks for the suggestion.

You have to talk your mom into Disney! There is so much to do there. My mom LOVES it. You should check out Borders to see if they have a book on Disney for Adults. I want to say that they do but I can't remember. Good luck talking her into going!!!

Nautica. OMG, how funny. I though am old enough to remember going to the Agora. Sheesh, I am ancient!

I love making those things. Actually, they are pretty easy. I went to the internet and got a bunch of free Disney clip art. I put the clip art on envelopes. For Mousekeeping I used the regular number ten ones and then for the restaurant tips, I have smaller ones. They work like a charm. :goodvibes

Update
Joe and I have to go to our storage locker and get some of our summer clothes. I want to see what fits me. I am not doing well on this freaking diet. :sad2: I have to try harder I guess.

So my mom is super excited for September. I may have mentioned earlier that she has a drawer that she puts all of her "Florida" stuff in. She told me the other day that she has rearranged it several times over the last week. Joe and I took her to Penney's last weekend. She got herself 4 pair of capri's for our trip. Funny, I bet she doesn't wear them all summer becuase she wants to "save" them. :lmao:

I can imagine how frustrated you are about the dining ressies ~ but I say make it for where you want to ~~~ don't listen to anyone else in this case! So many times, for dining and movies, etc. I have read negative reviews to find that I totally disagree with them!
Really think of where you'd both like to have dinner and just do it :thumbsup2 I think you'd be happiest that way :)

I also just want to say it's so nice what you do to show CMs that you appreciate them. A couple of weeks ago my son met a nice CM at the Kim Possible station in Innoventions. Well she said she loves Kim Possible and complimented him on her pins. She said she loves pins and would love one of Kim Possible but she didn't think they made them. Well, he found one on another CM a week later and saved it for her. We found her last week while there and he offered it to her and she looked at him like he was CRAZY :headache: She wouldn't touch it or take it, and she was like, "Um, we can't take gifts..." and continued to look at us all like we were weirdos. My son felt bad and embarrassed the way she was treating us, like we were totally crazy. She even asked the other CM, an older man who wasn't very friendly ~ she said to him "We can't take things from them can we?" and he said no, not allowed.
Anyway, maybe it was just her, but I think it's great and would love to make some cards up for the nice CMs and hopefully have good experiences with that. Having APs I have found that the nice CMs I talk to really is one of the most enjoyable thing about WDW :goodvibes

Hey Amy,

I'm surprised the CM reacted that way when your son tried to give her the pin. :confused3 Going as much as you do these days, do you find more grumpy CM's than nice ones? For the most part, we have not run across many that were not nice. I can only think of two....one at CRT and one at the AKL. In all my trips, just two. :rolleyes1

I have the feeling that I am driving Joe nuts with our anniversary meal. This is the first year that I have struggled with the decision, but who knows?

I've been reading your report by the way. Sounds like you are really happy with your move to Florida. :goodvibes:goodvibes It would be so awesome to be able to visit WDW any time or when the mood strikes. :wizard:

If you decide to make some CM cards, please post them. :flower3:

We got our maps, too!!! They're so great!! DH was really thrilled about them too. His second reaction was "why didn't we know about these for our honeymoon??" The ones we just got have my parent's last name on them since we're using the maps as part of the surprise. I promised DH we'd order a set with our last name on them in 6 months!

I think it's awesome that you are using the maps as part of their surprise. I'm thinking about framing ours when we get back. They are an odd size so it may cost a small fortune!:lmao:

Did you size them?? I went to ac moore the other day and forgot the dang maps! I was hoping to find a regular frame for them! oof.. but yes I think the surprise maps is a wonderful idea!!

I have not sized them yet but I will do that today since I am off....well, sorta off. I have a project to get done this morning then the rest of the day will be filled with finding everything to take to the tax dude tonight. Yep, finally getting our taxes done. I miss the days when I could do them myself.....stupid corporation......it's more of a pain than it's worth. :sad2:

If I can find the code for CROC's, I think I am going to order me a new pair too. Not that I need them or anything but I want to try the Mary Jane's.

arent those maps great?? I got one for our last trip and they are quite nice!

OOOhhhh.. Mary Jane Crocs.. I've been wanting a pair of those for awhile, just havent bought them yet.. I saw a lady wearing some on our trip last year and they were so cute.. I do need a new pair as I lost one of my mickey crocs.. so maybe I will get some of the MJ ones.. :goodvibes

This is not a PTR update but more of an OMG moment........:scared1::scared1:

So I'm sitting at my desk yesterday trying to get everything done since I am off today and tomorrow. My stupid crackberry is behind me and it starts to ring. I'm thinking that maybe it's Jenn :) so I answer it....only to hear this........."this is 911 emergency. We received a call from this number. What is your emergency?" :guilty: So I tell the lady that I didn't call 911 and that aside from my stupid blackberry being stupid, I don't have an emergency. I apologized to her and hung up.........only to look at my stupid blackberry and see that it was in emergency call mode.:eek: I could not get the freaking thing to go out of that mode. I had to turn it off and back on and the next step was to take out the battery. I can't even go to Verizon and get a new one because I need my work email while I am out and IT needs it to put my stupid work mail on the new blackberry. :sad2: Needelss to say I felt like a jerk and had hoped that the 911 operator didn't think I was pranking them or something...which is against the freaking law!

I didn't want to touch the thing after I got home last night and frankly, I'm scared to use it over the next 2 days while I am off...but I have no choice! :scared1:
