HEY dis'ers!!!

Welcome to what i hope will be an amazing trip report! I've done the whole trip report thing before, but it kinda sucked so after reading numerous others, I decided to step up my game a wee bit

If you're still with me, that's a great sign!!

Why don't i begin by listing the cast of my dream team!

Dad- 40 something. Relates well with goofy! Loves the space program and says this will be the alst Disne vacation we do for a while, but i'll believe it when i see it!

Mom- 40 something. She's kinda the one that puts the vacations together. SHe loves talking about our DVC membership to people. I swear Disney should pay her for advertising!

Me- 21 years old and extremley proud of it!!! I'm a good girl at heart, some say 'princess' would fit me, but others think i'm full of it! Oh well, i'll let you be the judge . Im an avid Disney nut and I WILL be a future cast member, there is no question about it!

~*~*~*~*~Some History~*~*~*~*~*~

First time I went to Disney World I was 5 years old. Do I remember much? Not quite. I know we stayed at the Contemporary and I know we went on the Big Red Boat. THe only think i remember from that was crying in the kids center because the CM wouldnt call my parents and i thought they left me there for good.

My 2nd time, my sister graced us with her presence and we did the poly resort and wonder cruise over christma of 2001. I was in 10th grade and she was in about 3rd. Christmas morning the 1st real day on the cruise, at 2 am, i got the flu. We were on Castaway ay and i was super bummed. . I couldn't even move i was so sick, so bad memories from that cruise too.

A few years later, in 2003, we decided to give Disney cruising another try. It was a 7 day Eastern Magic cruise. FLAWLESS !!!!!! Perfect!!!!!!

Right after that trip, my parents decided to purchase a DVC membership for Saratoga Springs!

Ok, y'all dont understand how excited I was when they did that... it was like Christmas, only a million times better!!!


So in 2006 we set forth to SSR for a 5 night trip. Actually it was 3 at SSR and 2 at OKW (but i MUCH MUCH MUCH prefer SSR!!) My parents purchased my friend and I our own 2 BR suite, and got them, my sister and grandparents a 3 BR grandvilla!!!! It was purely heaven!

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, for my newly found love of pirates, i thought this was only appropriate!!

That brings me to this year.
It was towards the beginning of May and the pretty parentals were talking about going to our cabin or to the Wisconsin Dells. I was the only one that seemed to really want to go back to WDW so i pretty much lost hope that it would happen.

A few days later, i woke up to my mom asking me if i could take off Aug 4-11th from work b/c that's when they decided to go on VACA.

I got upset because besides being an avid Disney nut, i'm also an avid American Idol nut and i had MEGA plans to go see the tour when they are in minneapolis on the 4th!!!!!!!!!

(by the way... i LOVE BLAKE LEWIS!!!)

Long argument cut short, tears were practically shed, until she informs me that they decided to go back to DISNEY!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so i about had a heart attack! Jumping up and down and tears were almost shed for a whole nother reason!

I'm sure hoping mr. Blake Lewis will understand!

ANNNNNNNYWAY.

So here I am, 2 days before I go, antsy as heck, ADRs made, packing underway, heart a racin' and just way to excited for my own good!!!!

I plan on taking TONS of photos and sweating my rear off!!

I know lots of you DISers will be down there with me so if ya see me, please say hi! Otherwise, i'll update with the good ol' stuff as soon as i can!

so i dont know if anyone is actually going to even read this or not, but...

in exactly 24 hours i will be in florida and getting the rental car to head to SSR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am bringing my laptop with and the parentals are paying for internet service, so i'll try to write as much as i can.

Tomorrow we are planning on making a night out of DTD. Im going to do the whole pick-a-pearl thing again and we are eating at planet hollywood!

Today is the day!!!!!

Our plane is set to take off at 9:03 this morning (central time), but might be a wee bit delayed.

You see, we have to wait for air force one to make an appearance due to the face that president Bush is coming to MPLS for disaster releif funding with the 35W bridge collapse.

I'm super happy that he's trying to help in the matter. But he's arriving RIGHT when im supposed to be on my way to DISNEY!!!

He couldn't of come in the last 3 days or like 5 minutes later, lol...

I'm not really selfish. At least i try not to be. My thoughts and prayers are always with the victims and their families... And it was a very sad thing that happened to Mpls.

I'm just realllllllllllly (times a million) excited to go to DISNEY WORLD!!!!

You'll have a great time!!!! The flight went very well, and let me tell you, it goes by SO much more quickly when you bring along a portable DVD player!!!
I'll try to update as much as i can... i'll probably REALLY sit down tomorrow if we take a break from the parks and get pictures loaded and everything! Thanks for reading!

Haha, Trust me, i've already thanked my parents for internet!!!! And im glad you find this exciting! That makes me get the motivation to write!!!!

i will do a better report about today, but just some quick pointers:::

- THe flight went well!!! We were 10 minutes late taking off due to airforce one, but we arived RIGHT on time!!!

- when we checked in, the room was ready!!! WOO HOO!!!! #4721 Paddoocks building. The bus stop is right out the building! very convienient!

- HOTTER THEN HADIES!!!!! but no rain! (which i guess is good!!)

- Ate dinner at DTD at planet hollywood. Our waiter was SOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!! He was from MN too, so we had something in common right off the bat! But when we got the bill, our reaction was like this:

I guess i should mention that we opted not to do DTD tonight. We are going to do it in a few days. We went there just for dinner. We are too tired tonight from waking up early and flying and all that, so it's one of those 'stay at the hotel' kinda nights=)

and now im going to the gift shop!.

gunna spend some hard earned $$$
