Jerry at The Timeshare Store informed me today that our Boardwalk villas purchase ($73 per point, we pay maintenance fees on 2004 points plus closing costs) was approved by Disney. It took 13 days from submission to Disney.

Yippee!!!!:earsboy:

Diznut,

Did you purchase the 150 pts that were listed @ $72 pt w/ 300 pts avail a few weeks back? I tried to snag that one :) the day it appeared. We ended up purchasing the other that was loaded up for two years for $74. I haven't heard back on ROFR yet. we're getting close to that magic 1000 number.

No, our contract was never even listed on the web site. We were lucky enough to call in and get it on the spot! :)

I just got Disney's approval as well.
I think it was about 14 days, if I count weekends or not. My contract was submitted on the 19th of April.
I still have a while before the whole process is completed.

I still think it is too late to get December reservations, which is depressing.
It sort of makes me wish I had held out, and waited for a better contract, rather then rushing into the first one that met my short term needs.
If I get reservations for December, I will be glad I rushed. If not, and I end up at the Pop Century over Christmas, I will probably have some regrets over not waiting until after my December visit, to purchase.
Oh well,
At least I have already stayed at OKW and really know exactly what I am getting there. What I don't know, is what I am giving up by not looking closer at the other resorts, before deciding which one to purchase.
If I had waited until after my December trip, I could have taken the extra time to do this.
That will probably end up being my only regret.
I do suspect, that I would have liked the Villas at Fort Wilderness better, just because I so loved the Ft Wilderness cabin that I stayed in on one of my trips. But based on the balcony size, maybe not. We used the porch, of our Ft. Wilderness cabin, a lot.
When I stayed at OKW we spent a lot of time on the balcony. It was large enough for the family to sit at the table and eat breakfast.
