Thanks for all of your advice and help.

I am going to make my deposit next payday for a 7 night stay at the Pop with the free dining plan from 8/22 - 8/29.

I made the ressies with small world vacations; thanks mousesavers received a quote of Total Price: $1276.55

That is $182 a day for ticket , food , and hotel!!! :goodvibes :cool1:
It is myself and DD11 and DD9 that is going on trip.

We decided we would go with 7 day hopper passes no plusses this time. We were only interested in Typhoon Lagoon for swimming with the sharks, not that impressed with the rest of the park. So we are going to do just the main parks this time.

Does anyone know can you trade in two of your table service credits for the fantasmic dinner package? Fantasmic is one of our favorites....but we have never done the dinner package. Is it worth while? Everytime we have seen it we have been seated in the back but center of the stage. Our view has been just fine and plus we are the first to get out when the show is over. So what do you think? Dinner package and reserve seating worth it?

All I have to budget for now is the drive from Syracuse NY. I am off to the transportation board for the best route, places to stay for overnight breaks and toll info.

Also I have decided to keep the trip secret from the girls and surprise them. Since we all start back to school on 9/6 this will be a perfect end to the summer.

We have not been to Disney since last July what is new that we should definitely include this trip?? Who else is going this week? Do you think it will be more crowded with the free dining?

Thanks for any response!

Just wanted to say that we are going to EXACT same time as you and even staying at Pop. Maybe we will see you there :wave2:

Have a great trip :flower:

Awesome.....what is your favorite building in the Pop....Last time we stayed in the 50's building right on the ground floor...it was close to both pools and we really like it! I am hoping we luck out again!

Have you come up with any plans for maximizing your free dining plan yet?

I am surprised we haven't seen more dining plans for this propromotion on the boards yet. I am interested to see what people have done! :flower:

Have a great trip!!! We weren't planning on going back this year so we are very excited or I am!!!! Girls don't know yet!!!

We stayed in the Tramp building in the 50's on the 4th floor facing a courtyard and had a partial lakeview. It was heaven! :cloud9: I'm hoping for the same area mostly because (if you can believe it) the housekeeper was AWESOME!!! and made our trip SO special and I know that that is her area. We have also stayed in the 90's section which was nice and quiet, but a bit of a hike to refill the mugs.

So far I have this for my itinerary (I'll cut and paste from another post)...

I haven't planned any of our counter service meals yet, we will probably just hit our favorites and not actually have it 'scheduled'. This is for my DD7 and myself for a girls' week right before school starts.

I don't think that we have maximized the meals very much, but this is what we want to do and we never would've done all these meals at once on a trip so that is fine with me. I still would love to add the Concourse Steakhouse, but I don't think that we have the room.

We will be arriving at POP the same day! We have requested somewhere in the 50's buldings. Maybe we will see ya there!

Too funny....it will be just me and my girls too!! :earsgirl:

I haven't really gotten to much done on my plans as I am still in school for a week...here in NY it is regents week so I still have proctering and grading to do then I can devote lots of time to our schedule.

But what I am thinking is we want to try so far:

one of the Japanese Steakhouses in Epcot
Backyard barbeque at Fort Wilderness
Crystal Palace (girls fav)
Chef Mickeys (never done we always do Princess Breakfast but doubt we can get in this time)
I would love to do Boma's but not sure the girls would enjoy

Ohh....I just can't wait!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

You might be surprised about Boma... that is my DD favorite (mine too). :)

Yeah, we will be there too!!!! We are going from the 23rd to the 31st. I was looking at your schedule but we will be at different parks on different days. Maybe we will see you at the hotel. Have a great time!

We're coming in late on the 24th, and leaving on the evening of the 29th - our quickie "Free Dining" trip! :cool1:

It's me & my husband, and our 4 kids - DD13, DS10, DD7 & DD4. We're keeping it a surprise from the kids (although my 13 yo figured it out! - too smart!).

Maybe we could plan a little get-together. We're planning to be at the pool every afternoon.

I'm sooooo excited. We weren't supposed to be able to go back until next June!
