They did a similar shut down for DVC website and nothing changed it’s still crazy glitchy so I doubt it. It’s most likely a database migration.

Odd that this happens on Monday-Wednesday rather than a weekend as most software upgrades do. Perhaps this tells us something about booking patterns on DCL.

It's totally screwing up my booking window. Not sure what time I should be on now to book since I was planning to do it at 12:01AM on the 8th. Do I expect it to be 12:01 on the 9th now or in the morning at like 8AM (when I'm at work). grrr.

I wonder if they look at it as you just get a day or 3(for some)later and not a big deal because the next group will have to wait xx-days before they can sign up. Sorry if they come back up during work hours. That’s tougher to work around. My hope for you is two fold. 1) happens at 12:00 and 2) they tell you in advance the plan.
But even if they change your day I’d try to check/book as soon as I found they were back up running so I didn’t lose anything.

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but maybe this is because protocols are changing? Especially since word is out that many are able to take maskless photos inside with characters. That was big news back in August and they haven't even published any news articles about it. I wonder if it's because a bigger announcement is coming. I'm wishful thinking because i sail on march 5!

And i still think it's strange that they have made no announcement about indoor photos with characters since that was big news for them back in August. And for a friend who went on the Dream earlier this month, that was the worst part of the trip for her, so it could influence more people to purchase a trip.

The changes in protocol up until now haven't caused them to take the website offline for days - changing language is quick. This seems more like an overhaul to the reservation system itself or upgraded hardware that would necessitate taking it offline.
