We are flying into Orlando for a quick getaway. Arriving Wednesday April 30 and departing Saturday May 3. I have tried a bunch of codes from Mousesavers but my average price is $200 for an intermediate car-yikes! I am used to renting for a week at that price. Any advice??

eta, hoping to rent at the airport for speed/convenience.

Weekly rentals are usually cheaper than rentals for a day or two. Keep checking and hope prices drop, or try a name your own price bid on Priceline.

You'll have to keep checking. Sign up to receive rental company emails so you're alerted to specials too.

I have the same issue, I think the problem is not having a Saturday night rental. Rentals during the week are much higher.

As the PP said without a Sat. over night rental the cost will be sky high. You could try priceline but I doubt you get anything much cheaper.

Using the KLM...Flyiing Blue code people say anyone can use as long as you join the FF program it is $141.xx for midsize (I just guessed pickup and drop off times and didn't go into an 'extra' last day rate- did 12PM to 12PM). This was at MCO National.

Code is 8572130. I have a reservation for an upcoming trip using this code. You can apply coupons, but I doubt any will work since most require a Saturday stay. Rates might go down closer to trip also.

If you are staying onsite you could use DME then rent from the Alamo place at the Swan/Dolphin. I found it to be cheaper than renting from the airport.

Thank you!!! I have seen this code floating around the DIS for some time now, but I never thought to try it. The price was approx $145...is this too good to be true? Any extra fees on top of this quote?

Unfortunately we aren't going to WDW this trip, otherwise we would use DME for sure.

OP here, just wanted to update. I checked back again today and my rental is now 117$ (down from 145$). Thanks again zoo2tycoon for the code!!!!

Could someone please point me in the direction I need to go to find out more information about KLM and the code mentioned above. I am looking to rent a car at Sanford Airport starting the 6th of June and would LOVE to get a better rate than what I am seeing on Alamo and I joined their program. Thank you in advance!

Join KLM airlines frequent flyer program (which is free). This makes you eligible to use the 8572130 code for National car rental. This particular code offers some very competitive rates. hth.
