Crystal Palace over the week after Easter? The only PS I could get for this one day (non EE day) was 9:15. I think we would like to do some touring before that but I don't want to get into trouble if I cruise in at 9:30. I know, I am lucky to even have the PS. However, with the crowds the way they will be, I would really like to see some of FrontierLand, AdventureLand beforehand. Thanks to all, for all of your help.

I don't think that they'd save your table for you . Since they always ask that you check-in 5-10 minutes prior to your PS I can't imagine that they'd save room for you if you were running late. Perhaps you'd be on the top of a stand-by list or something if someone else doesn't show up for their PS but I don't know that for a fact - I've never been late for a PS before.

The week after Easter is one of the busiest of the year and I would not count on them holding your table for you. Perhaps you can change your date? Good luck.

That's the whole point of the PS system - it means they don't have to hold tables for no-shows like they would with a proper reservation system. You might get lucky - when we ate there for my dd's 11th birthday, it was so busy that we had a wait even with a PS. Are you going to enjoy your touring if you're fretting about whether or not you will get your table?

During the high season, especially at Easter and Christmas, I wouldn't take the chance of showing up late. They will likely be turning away all walk-ups during that time, so if you're late, you probably will be treated as a walk-up. You really wouldn't be able to see much anyway, you're only talking about 20 minutes at most, maybe less. It's not worth it in my opinion. During Easter week, the parks will be crowded from opening to closing, so your hope of no crowds for a few minutes is probably not very realistic anyway.

15 mins. late = lost PS = no seating at CP. I realize the desire to tour is strong, but if you want to eat at CP, I would strongly recommend showing up 5 - 10 min. EARLY for your PS on that day especially.

First let me say (so I don't get flamed ) that you should make every effort to be on time for your PS. Furthermore, you won't get much done between the time the park opens (9:00) and the time you would like to show up for your 9:15 PS (9:30).

That being said, I highly doubt they will turn you away if you show up at 9:30. That is important for people to know so that they don't get completely stressed and ruin their day because they are a little late. We have been as much as 30 minutes late for PS's (not by design or choice, but stuff happens ) and we have never been turned away. We have been late to PS at packed restaurants, on busy days, and never been turned away. Heck, we've even been as much as 20 minutes late for CRT, and you can't find a more crowded meal than that no matter what the time of year. I wouldn't count on NOT being turned away, because you never know what they will do, but I doubt they would turn someone away over 15 minutes.

Bottom line - if you are at MK at opening and want to get one ride in before you head to breakfast you could probably do that.

Well, we were ONE HOUR late for our reservation at the CRT last year!

Our watches were still on CST instead of EST for Florida. Duh!

We got right away luckily, altho I expected to be turned away.

Ok, since nobody seems to want to touch it... doing this is flat out rude. You've made a priority seating for a certain time, honor the committment or cancel the p.s. You're not going to be able to do everything no matter what time you have breakfast, so don't worry about it. If you do show up late, and they do honor your p.s., you are taking someone else's time. Somebody else made their p.s. for 9:45 counting on being let loose in the park by 10:30, and you've just pushed them back 15 minutes. Their time is worth just as much as yours. This isn't a flame, it's just the truth.

Basically you'll *probably* eventually be seated, but the wait for a table could end up being over an hour--think of the lost park time in those terms and I'll bet you're on time for your PS

Thank you all for your comments- I definitely will be there on time. As far as Mrsltg deciding that she would "touch it", I believe that "rudeness" would come if I walked in, demanding my table and throwing a rant session. But gee thanks for pointing out the error of my ways, I wouldn't want to be "flat out rude". I won't waste anymore of your time.

I'm going to disagree with the "flat out rude" comment - the way the PS system works is that you are put in the table queue at the time you check in. Assuming they honored your PS when you showed up at 9:30 (which I believe they would, based on past experience of running late), they will check you in and seat you in order of the people who are there. If someone with a PS of 9:30 or 9:45 had already checked in ahead of you, they will be seated ahead of you and you will wait your turn. You will not be delaying those with later PS times because their PS time already took into account that you would have a table before they would (if that makes sense). At most, your failure to show up on time will mean that someone else who checks in at 9:15 for a 9:30 PS might get seated earlier than they otherwise would. The bottom line number of tables needed will be the same, if that makes sense.

I don't think you should PLAN to be late, but don't overstress. One time we were running very late (like 30 minutes or more) to the Villains Dinner at the GF due to a transportation problem, and we called over there and told them we were running late. They were very nice about it.

Thank you JLS, my post wasn't written with the intent that mrswhoever seems to indicate. I don't think my time is more important than others, or that people should just wait around for me- I am just not too familiar with the PS system and wanted to ask the question. However, I know from previous reading experience that MANY Dis'ers are very BLACK and WHITE about their views and don't mind JUMPING on other people who don't know so much about the proper etiquette of Disney...... examples include when someone asked a question about parking at the Contemporary for Cmickey's and than staying there all day! You would have thought they were asking if they could sneak a 3.5 year old in for free, or return to a resort year after year with the same refillable mug........ ) the way people lambasted them.

I have to agree with your comments about some DISers who seem to be OVERLY eager (in my opinion) to jump down people's throats. I think most questions here on these Boards are asked innocently from people just wanting information, but some posters seemingly can't wait to post a reply implying (or sometimes flatly stating) that the OP is rude or has committed a serious Disney Sin! As a result, some threads that would be purely informational turn quickly into nasty debates and posters are put on the defensive.

You'll be seated for your PS, and no, it wont like some people have said, take over an hr to seat you. Working at CRT we had MANY people show up late, and even on busy days like Xmas, and they were still sat. When they were really late, like an hr or two we put them in the pile and tried to seat them as soon as possible, but also seating a few people who had arrived before them (with late PS times). Now is someone shows up 10-15 mins late, they normally went to the bottom of the pile for that PS time (i.e. they would be seated after any 9:15 PS's, but before any 9:30 PS's). With a PS you are seated at the next available table for your party size. So they don't hold tables per se. I don't know how much you will get done in that first half hr, but don't worry about being late, you will still be seated! (Don't let anyone scare you into changing your plans!)
