Ok, We are leaving on Saturday for the Wilderness lodge Villas. My teenage son would like to spend the day at the beach. We thought about driving to Tampa, or Clearwater but then I thought what about Vero Beach! Disney has a resort there. So, I called member services to ask if we drove in for a day could we have access to their pool and beach. They said, NO Problem!!. Has anyone done this? and if so what do I do when I get there. Should I sign in, or at least let them Know I am here as a Member?? Any Ideas Please let me know.

That's a major pool hopping experience. Don't know the answers, but I think you're nice for taking him. Enjoy the beach!

What a great idea! VB is my home resort and I have yet to go there. Maybe next trip we will make a beach run.

No experience, BUT I think you should make sure the CM's at Vero know that it's "no problem."

WE had also planned to do this last summer, but after 16 hours of driving already, we chickened out. I called, and the front desk CM assured me "no problem," that there is a nice area for changing clothes near the pool.

Do stop by the front desk and tell them you have called, as I believe posters here have said that there is a locked gate between the ocean and the resort pool.

It's generally been reported that members cannot PH to VB. People have driven down and been turned away. Others have been allowed to PH there.
