Hi everyone,

Trying to decide between using the park n' fly option (near Tim Horton's) or park in the parkade closer to the airport. Any experience? Any preference?

Thanks in advance! :goodvibes

Park N Fly is cheaper and not too inconvenient. On the other hand, you can't beat the convenience of parking in a covered garage and strolling into the airport.

Things to consider...
Are you traveling in winter? I really hate coming home late to the Park N Fly and having to shovel my car out from a snowstorm.

Park N Fly discount coupons are in the Entertainment Book and they also give a discount for showing a CAA card (I don't think you can stack the discounts)

The shuttle for the Park N Fly is very reliable, but it can take 25 minutes or so if you just miss one. Also, the place where you wait for the shuttle on your return is not too convenient if it's bad weather... no waiting inside the warm dry airport and ducking out when the shuttle shows up.

By the way, the guys who work in the Park N Fly are awesome! Once when I came home at night in rotten weather to a dead battery, they called CAA for me (I was counting on charging my cell phone up in the car charger...sigh) and let me wait in the pay booth for them to show up.

We're too cheap to use the airport parking. Although I love the idea that I can use my macpass to pay now. Park and fly does take extra time, but we've never had a problem. (Of course more often than not I sit in the arrivals area with the kids and dh gives us door to door service! :rolleyes1 )

Thanks all.
We usually drive in to the city the night before and leave vehicle at a relative or friends... try to stretch the vacay $ as far as we can! This trip we have to leave right from work and won't have time to go all the way in to the city. Weather shouldn't be an issue this week.. so we'll give the park 'n fly a try with the heads up that DH may need to wait for the shuttle (while kids & I wait INSIDE the airport).:rolleyes1

We'll see you there MinnieMommy!!:goodvibes

Well, DH and DS will - they're flying YHZ-MCO.
And overnighting at ...is it the Quality Inn, now??

Ditto on the covered garage vs. digging van out of a 4 days ago/crusty icey February snow mess...yuck.

I'm taking other DS, and the rest of our Pirate Crew to Portland, and we're all flying from there:goodvibes

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!! It's getting sooooo close!! LOL!!

:)

We have used it the last several times with no problems or delays. We have always had very pleasant drivers, the last time I forgot to leave my heavier jacket in the car, he took us back to our car to do so. Thats service.

It's a long walk from there to YHZ...... ;)

And, cost of shuttle service would be astronomical. :scared1:

lmao i just realized i had the wrong airport sorry. I could have swore I saw YYZ not YHZ
