When you play Level 3 in Yeti Vision it gives you a Pin instead of Credits and the Chair.

This just started happening this afternoon for me.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yep. I just tested it.

The link opened and showed the Everest Ride Car and code. But when I entered the code in VMK, I was given the Pin instead.

Looks like Yeti is broken again....

I was shocked  :scared1: when I saw this thread. I had saved a bunch of yeti lvl 3 codes this week.

So I played all three levels just now and have entered the corresponding codes. Seems Level 1 is giving the 200 credits and the cart, Level 2 the Everest Room and Level 3 the pin. Have no idea why level 1 & 3 would switch what prize the code gives.:confused3 Hopefully they will fix it.:)

Bummer...no wonder it didn't work for me? So Level 1's code gives you the credits? OK... Thanks for letting us know!!

I just tried two codes that I had got yesterday and they worked fine for me. They worked fine for me earlier this morning also. Not sure if it's newly generated codes or what that are giving you trouble. But the codes I got yesterday are working fine right now.

I tried to play and it gave me no codes at all for any level - I used to play, but for some reason now, it won't give me any codes.

I played level 1 just now and got the car and credits, my level 3 codes from this morning are giving me the same, so it must have happened sometime between 10 and 4pm today est

Thanks for the info.

I just tried Level 1 and, sure enough, got a code for the 200 credits and ride car. (Even though the browser said it was for the pin...)

I still hope they switch it back, since Level 3 is the quickest to play. pirate:

Maybe they're trying to encourage people to quit depending on Yetivision for credits and go back to VMK itself? I guess they figure people will get tired of spending so long on Yetivision when they could be spending that same amount of time in Mansion, Pirates, or Fireworks.

Yup! I also just played the 3rd level of Yeti and got 200 credits and car. So cool...looks they fixed it! Thanks vmk! :thumbsup2

I'm glad I had the info for everyone when Yeti was a little wacky today :cutie: I'm glad to see that Yeti got himself patched up. :thumbsup2 :woohoo: THANKS VMK!

I was able to enter my codes from earlier in the week and get the credits and cart when the mix up with level 1 & 3's codes were happening earlier today so that makes me think Doc is right and maybe it just happened with codes generated between 10 and 4pm today.:confused3

As for the possbility that maybe vmk is trying to encourage people to quit depending on Yetivision for credits and play Mansion, Pirates, or Fireworks instead. You may have a point, but I certainly hope that won't happen because I can not play mansion or fireworks at all. My computer simply won't let me. I try and try to sneak in, but I'm always kicked to the lobby on my booty. I can barely play pirates and nedding is worse than playing yeti over and over.. at least in my opinion. :cutie:

I just played level 2 for a room and got a code for a pin. I am going to enter it when vmk opens and see if it really is a pin. I was playing to get the code for someone else who needs the room. Seems like all the levels are a little confused.

If you are having problems with it, and the browser with the code won't pop up, you have to make sure firefox is the default browser is checked as automatic and ie isn't. I'll let you know how to do this if it is what you are having problems with.

Why would I want firefox as my default browser? I only use firefox for vmk and it really messes with my computer.

Before diagnosing a computer issue, it helps to have all the information set beforehand. The default browser has nothing to do with whether codes are generated or not.

monkey:
tell us a little more about this issue, such as:
Does the Yeti game give you the click link to "Get Bonus Code"?
Which version of IE do you have? IE6? IE7?
If it does give you the link, do you have an agressive popup blocker on your PC?
Also, do you have an agressive Virus Scanner such as MacAfee or Symantec?

I would say this issue may be you virus scanner, firewall or popup blocker causing the Yeti to either not display the code page, or not even connecting to the Disney site which parses out the code. You may want to try turning off those features one by one to see which one is causing the issue.

Hey Monkey,

Is your pop-up blocker on? If it is, the screen that gives you the code will on be able to open when you complete the game.

Just a thought. :)

Don't know about anyone else, but the code window doesn't pop up for me unless it's on firefox.

Again, it is probably your popup blocker or virus scanner, or even firefox causing the problem. And for the record, I would say that most people do not even have firefox.
