yet another UY banking ???

I am a smart woman.... really..... but this whole December UY is driving me nuts!

Am I right on this.....


We have a december UY in our OKW contracts.... We have used all of 2001 and borrowed all of 2002 points. We want to (attempt) to make a ressie for this December. Can I borrow my 2003 points since I am within a year and the ressie is for December....

And using that theroy, I could not make a ressie in November with my December 2003 points....

AND if we had to cancel that December 2002 ressie (made with December 2003 points) we would have to use those points between december 2002 and November of 2003.........Is that right?

Was that clear??? It was keeping me up all last night!

You got it! It gets even more confusing when your stay crosses UYs. Our 2003 trip is March 29 - April 4, and our UY is April. So, we used some of the 2002 points for the nights in March, had to bank the rest, then use them for the April days. Glad we got a rep who understood what we wanted to do!

When I get confused, I just get a paper and pencil and make myself a little chart.

2001 Points are for stays between 12/1/2001 and 11/30/2002.

2002 Points are for stays between 12/1/2002 and 11/30/2003.

2003 Points are for stays between 12/1/2003 and 11/30/2004.


I can move points back one year (borrow) or move them ahead one year (bank). Once moved, they stay there. If I don't use them in the year to which I moved them, they are lost.

I can make a ressie at my home resort 11 months ahead as long as there will be points available when I arrive. I can make points available by banking or borrowing if I do not have enough points to cover the ressie.

For your December situation, all of the 2001 and 2002 points are used, but you want to make a ressie for 12/02. You can move points back from 2003 (borrow) and then they would be good for stays between 12/1/2002 and 11/30/2003. So if there are enough points in your 2003 use year to pay for that 12/02 ressie, you can borrow them to make that ressie.

As you without a doubt know, sooner or later you will have to skip a year or buy/rent more points! Good luck!

LOL We have added on twice since our first purchase this past January.... and now own a total of 870....
and YUP we still need to borrow points!

NO MORE ADD ONS FOR US!
