Yep, I'm and old f@rt, topped 65 in May. I was just checking my dates for dates I already booked as soon as they came out. Didn't consider that I would be 65+ a while after making them, we there from Oct 29 to Nov 7. What does SW do for we walking dead and is it worth perusing at this point?

Thanks,
Bill From PA

As far as I know, bupkis. Unless you wanna jump into a wheelchair & get yourself pushed to the gate!!

Not quite that decrepit yet! I'm not used to getting bennies for having a birthday so I'm unfamiliar with what's out there for geezers, but I'll learn.

Senior fares are not as inexpensive as the wanna get away fares, but less than the regular fares. And fully refundable. If you go to the search part of Southwest's website, you can find the info.

And thanks for making me look-- the fare I just booked for Wine and Dine just went down $2 each! (just booked 2 days ago)

Fully refundable as in money back on credit card?? Or, do you still just get travel credit? Thanks

Senior Fares
  • These fares are refundable and changeable and may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines for the originally ticketed passenger only.

  • I'll have to call because it sounds as if you will still get Travel Funds as a refund. So, not sure it's worth it.
