Yet another MaxPass Question

When can you begin selecting a FastPass with MaxPass in the actual park? We're planning on going to California Adventure on a non-EMH day (regular hours) and be there at rope drop. Can I select a MaxPass before the park is officially open once scanned in or does the App not allow it until official opening?

The moment your ticket/AP is scanned, you can then select your first FP/MP, regardless of park opening time . I've done it many times myself.

The moment it is scanned for entry, so you can start getting FPs before the park is actually open in some cases.
