The crowd level yesterday was absolutely fantastic in context of what week we are in right now. We arrived before 7 and from park opening at 7am until we left at 8pm, it was BETTER than it was when I was here at the end of October thru Jersey week.
Space was down when we got started but we did Buzz, Pooh, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, then breakfast at Sleepy Hollow (only 7 people in front of us around 830a). We moved on to 7Dwarfs with a FP, Pirates (15 minute wait) then I had to leave for a conference call but my boys stayed and did Big Thunder (FP), Jungle Cruise (FP), and waited 20 minutes for Under the Sea. The standby line for Jungle Cruise was 110 minutes which is insane but I knew it would be so I had the FPs booked. When I returned at noon, we did Tony's for lunch and got a great patio table. We took the train for the loop and then got front and center in the reserved parade section and waited for an hour for the parade. Beautiful! They must really undersell the packages because there was hardly ANYONE in the VIP area and it was about 6 people deep on Main Street. Totally worth doing!!!
We had 2.5 hours to kill before our next FP so we did the River Boat at 4:30 then got ice cream sundaes for dinner and sat at a patio table at Cosmic Rays and people watched for a little while. We rode TTA (15 minute wait) and then used our 4th FP for Space.
The crowds on Main Street at 8 when we left were outstanding! I tried to convince the boys to stay because the HEA crowd would actually be reasonable for the first time in forever (HA) but they were wiped out from our long day. I think we got really, really lucky!
