I have to split the last day into 2 parts, since the DIS administrator is telling me I have included too many pictures
Tuesday November 14th (part 1)
I always spend so much time preparing for our trips before we actually leave home. I read the DIS like crazy. I read Allears like crazy. I check, double check and even triple check the park hours/refurbishments/EMHs. I tell myself that no matter what I will not get upset when this vacation is over. I know for sure that we will be going back. This is not our last trip to WDW. But theres just no fighting it. I always do. I wake up in a bad mood on that day. I start out with a foul mood, and it progresses into sadness by lunchtime. Even when we were at WDW in August and I knew we were coming back in November it happened. Hopefully Im not alone in this. Its just such a bad feeling.
On our last day, we woke up and went to the bus stop at 7:15 for our 8am ADR at Chef Mickeys. We waited about 5 minutes and then got nervous that a bus for MK wouldnt show up in time for us to get there, and walk over to the Contemporary. We walked over to the Hospitality House and I asked the DVC rep how we should get there. She made a phone call and was asking someone in the back what their opinion was. She hung up and said well give you a ride! A very nice gentleman came out and drove us in an OKW van directly over to the Contemporary! PIXIE DUST!!
We arrived at Chef Mickeys entrance at 7:45 and even beat the ILs there!! (we are NOTORIOUSLY late for everything and the ILs are ALWAYS early so this was a first!)
Breakfast was GREAT and the characters came around twice for us!
After breakfast, we took the monorail over to MK. We were able to ride in the front of the monorail for the entire loop over to the MK! (notice DS holding his new buddy, Dino!)
DD had wanted to get the pixie dust put in her hair the day we got her hair cut, but we knew we were going swimming that day and so I promised her wed stop in and have it added another day. This was the day. Had I known how HARD it was to get out, I probably wouldnt have reminded her that she wanted it. But that was part of the deal. Her main reason for the haircut happening at WDW was because she knew they had pixie dust! So we stopped in, and there was NO WAIT at all! A couple minutes later, heres my little girl
Afterwards, we made our way down Main St. USA and caught most of the new castle forecourt show. It was really cute and the kids loved it.
The ILs met up with us here, since they had to take their car back to their resort and then make their way to MK (the Contemporary would only give them a 2 hour parking permit for the breakfast). We asked the kids what rides they wanted to do today since it was (dum dum dum) our last day. This day was all about them and not about what we (DH and I) wanted to make sure they experienced. We went on the Winnie the Pooh ride and Dumbo.
DD wanted to make sure she saw the new High School Musical show. She and I made our way over to Tomorrowland to get a good spot. (only one other woman was waiting there, so we planted ourselves on the concrete in a front row spot!!) The show started about 15 minutes later and the place was packed! (DH and DS met up with us after riding Buzz) Lots of people came out for this show! It was really cute, but the best part was how much my kids got into it. YES, weve watched the movie a million times, and YES we have the soundtrack CD that weve listened to a million times. But we never get tired of it me included. I love watching them pretend to be Troy and Gabriella and perform the songs for me.
The kids were chosen to go up into the show several times.
In this one, they are asking DS what he wants to be when he grows up he said Jack Sparrow!
They asked DD the same question and she said a princess. See what a week at WDW does it helps my toobigforprincesses daughter to love them again!
