We are definately that family. Disfunctional in everyway possible, and ok with that. We will be the family that is all having a melt down, and displaying all of our disfunction for all of the "World" to see. Please, see us..listen to the insanity in passing..and roll out. Don't stare...I'm from New York. Not a threat, just what it is.

Now, while I currently live in New York...I'm a Jerseygirl. Soooooo, yes..the best of both worlds! Everyone loves a Jerseygirl right? I have the shirt that says so! Anyway..let's get the crew sorted out now, so that you can understand the dynamics.

Me, I'm Tiffany. I'm 34, and the biggest ray of light in this bunch. I'm a mess, and I know it. But it's the whole Jersey-New York thing...identity crisis. Totally low maintence, and still trying to rid myself of the same 30lbs I gained with "Thing 1" aka Conner...and 10 from "Thing 2".

Conner, 5 years old previously referred to as "Thing 1". Loves to dance, and he does whenever his little heart desires. And for some strange reason, he finds himself dropping to the floor to breakdance no matter the music! He pops and locks for a hot second, and then throws himself to the floor. Its hilarious, I just shake my head. I ask him everytime why he does it, and he just says that he's dancing. And dramatic! This kid is so dramatic. Is there work out there for him, I mean he really needs to work with this talent?!?! Cute as he can be, and ready to get to Disney. Like yesterday ready.
am7cig.jpg

This is us...yes he is the king! I told you dramatic (It's his B-Day crown)

Billy, 37 years old DH. Loves the Yankees, and the Jets. Big into football, coffee, and a police officer for the NYPD. (Reason why we're in NY right now..as he's from Jersey originally also. Stinky Bayonne!! Haahhaaah. Me I'm from Dirty Jersey City..best little shoot-em up town in the world!). Loves his family enough to deal with my Disney fixation, and allowed me to plan our Disney wedding here in Verona, NJ. (FYI-we were so cute that day too)

Zachary, 23 months old little ds. The HBIC of this house, that's The Head Baby In Charge! Spitting image of Conner when he was a baby..just add 2 adorable dimples. Loves to run the show, but there can only be 1 Queen Bee up in here..and we already know that's me! So he's 2nd in charge, and everyone is ok with that. Love everything Conner does, and loves to dance as well. Is now offically potty trained (thank you very much! 1 month sooner then Conner was at this age), but will absolutely be rocking pull-ups on this trip! Is it backwards..possibly, but it is what it is. Mommy's lazy! And daddy is too, so that's the nature of that disfunction. Great minds think alike is how we look at it.

This is the best picture of Billy that I have right now..just started uploading pics here..I'm a novice!

Aren't we just so cute! Well, we have 14 days before we kick off this vacation. And it is just enough time for you to get to know us before we blow a hole out of Disney again this year!

Any takers?

Our dates of travel are May 5 - May 16, 2009. We, (read I) found out about the 4 get 3 deal, and ran with it! Literally...ran right to my computer and emailed DreamsUnlimited for my quote and reservation. Was advised that the promo was only good for 10 days, so this meant that I would have to do a single day for room only. I was cool with that, and didn't even bother to advise my DH. (Let me explain) My dh is a typical man (don't allow this to hurt your feelings out there male species..just speaking the truth here, being HONEST). He really and truly deals with only bottom lines. He doesn't appreciate the bells and sirens, the frills and lace, the ins and outs for one second. Bottom line is all he needs...and 13 years later, I have stopped wasting my breath thinking he cares about the details of how we got from A to B. Any women out there that would like to co-sign? Please, feel free!..moving right along. So on May 6th, when I tell him to go back to the front desk at Pop and check out and check us back in...you will have humor for the trip report! I do this only for you the audience.
The resort is Pop Century, and we love it here. We had some really good times there, and some really ugly bad times there! But because Conner and I love Pop Century, we have been there 3 times now, we return! (Thanks Steve for showing me the way..(Steve's my neighbor 2 houses down). We only request 1st floor, and bedrails. Keep it simple people, for real! Stop shooting for the stars, and then coming on here complaining about the room you got...your in Disney! And is it absolutely necessary to be 2 feet from the dining hall? Come on now.
Okay so ADR's:
I was really on my grind this time, as there were places I needed to really get my eat on at. I am a total foodie, I love to eat! So, on the 90 day mark I was up at the butt-crack of dawn (sike! 7am), making my adr's. I got all but 1, which a kind dis'er gave me today! Thanks so much! This is what we have.

But good job so far. I will be reading right along!popcorn::

See your better then me, because I can not talk to the blank face!lol
Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Have fun, we'll be there part of that time too.....and my DH is with the LAPD. He's the same way, just a "yes dear" kinda guy. I think it makes their lives easier to have us plan everything out ourselves. We love Earl of Sandwich. I wasn't impressed with Liberty Tavern. My little one doesn't eat real food, it's PBJ and chicken nuggets so that didn't work well for this family.

Ok, have fun during your time at the World. LAPD, thats a good look too!:thumbsup2
My dh lives through my plans, follows my lead..love it!
LTT is a favorite of ours, hope it still is with no characters. Conner has a simple taste, pb&j-nuggets-hot dogs-grilled cheese..Zachy, eats most everything!

Just found your PTR (probably because you just started it...) love your sense of humor so far! It's so amazing that you get to be in the world for SO LONG! Your trip is so close too. Good luck with things, can't wait to hear more!

Wow, my sense of humor appreciated?! That's new..I could grow to like that.
Yeah, more pics and everyday insanity coming soon

Well, I have some cuteness to show you. These are a few of my favorite pictures of the boys from last years adventure. It's ok...you will ooh and ahh also. These children must really have a cute mom..

Conner's version of Typhoon Lagoon

Let me just say this real quick..both of my boys came into this world a month early (thankfully with no medical issues), and come in with a bang! They always have some kind of reminder of this every year. And Zachary's was a hard time with breathing, and high temp. So in the picture of him with Pinocchio, this is when I split from Billy and Conner to take him back to the resort and take it down. I was on the phone with my mother the whole time, she was more concerned that I. I think its because she was not there in the moment to put herself at ease. Anyway, the boys stay at the Kingdom for another few hours, then head back. Billy was so P.O'd because they had to take the bus, as I took the rental back with me. It was funny...is that awful that I was laughing at his "pain"? Whatever man...build a bridge! HA:laughing:. So we get ready for the Garden Grill Birthday dinner for Zach. He was the big 01 on that very May 11th, 2008! He was not lathargic (sp?), he was running around while waiting for our name to be called and everything. (That was a big mess in itself..can you say angry black woman? With angry Irish husband trying to get me to take it down a bit? A side show right there in the Land..a complete mess!) So then this happens
bdw37n.jpg
Propping the poor sick baby up for pictures! What in the world is wrong with me? Crazy lady! Anyway, we had to take the baby to the Orlando hospital..where we spent the rest of his Birthday, and the better part of the next morning. They do not allow the whole crew to go in the ER, only 1 adult. So Conner and my dh stayed in the waiting room. Normally this would be a no-no..but wow, there is a GOD. If you have to be sick, let it be in Orlando. There is no drunk or down and outs tucking in for the night there. No scent of urine, or clear signs of criminal thoughts in the beady eyes of the waiting in the "waiting room".There is a fountain with beverages and ice, a nice clean playroom for children. TV's...and COMPUTERS in the waiting room!:scared1: Come on now Mayor Bloomberg..can a sister get a clean waiting room? I don't need the frills, just a clean waiting room.

See your better then me, because I can not talk to the blank face!lol
Thanks for coming along for the ride.
This is me. If Dh is zoning out I tell him that if he wants me to get to the point faster then show some interest or I will keep stoping.:lmao:

He tries.

I am coming along for the ride also. :goodvibes

Yes, more co-signers! I knew that this was a gene that they ALL have. At least you have the push to continue with trying to break the brick-wall in the brain! Kudos to you! No really, Kudos

LOVING your ADRS. popcorn:: My DBF/finace is the exact same. Sometimes when he hasn't been paying attention, I'll start over, just to be mean. :lmao:

Conner just had his 5th birthday on March 30th. We were going to plan a birthday party at his Little Gym location, but we didn't. It is so hard to get everyone from both of our families to show up for these types of things. My family is extremely close, and my dh's family, not so much. We decided on 2nd row at the Zing Zang Zoom circus at the Garden (Madison Square that is)on Sunday March 29th, and a small Birthday celebration at Mom-Mom's house on Monday March 30th. So we get ready for the trip into the city, and it was the worst day of the week. Cold, raining, and miserable. Great..so this is what we saw on the way to the Garden.

So parking in the city is the worst, and there is no parking around the garden that is free ans legal. That is, unless your with the NYPD!!!! Yes, membership DOES have its privlages. So my husband parks right before the $35 parking lot, and puts the tag in the window. Big score, but it was still a bit of a mess through the rain with a 26lb weight on your right hip, and an umbrella in your left hand NOT keeping the rain off of my freshly Doobie'd hair. So much for being cute today. Anyway we make it to the entrance and wait with the masses to be allowed into the preshow. I just can't with New Yorkers!!! The rudest people (:rotfl::rotfl:)! Sike....but really, worse then the crowds at Disney in July! And would it kill you to brush your teeth? It's 10am and you haven't brushed your teeth yet?!?! Yuck mouth is just not my thing, at all! So we get inside, show our tickets, take off coats and make our way down to the preshow. We do some of this

Notice Zachy fixated on the free Campfire Marshmallows!

not really feeling the love!
When we gi back to our seats, some really wacked out lady-with her 2 kids, try to steal our coats!!! Yes she did! And it was just our luck that the security guard that checked our tickets when we came in, knew that those were our items. She swooped in on this lady and her kids like she had a gun on her waist. Phenomenal, simply phenomenal! Kudos to you security lady in that section og the Garden. Dam it man..its the circus. It's Ringling Brothers..it's a family show. Why are we stealing? Crisis avoided.
And the show begins, and guess what.....
my dh is called down to be part of the show! He was great at this musical chairs skit! I have video, but my dh would kill me if I posted it. (I gotta live with this man..the boys in blue!) We watch, enjoy, and snap pictures

We took alot of pics, you know the ones:
acrobats, small dogs, lions, dare devils, MC singing, and these beauties
30wmf6q.jpg

Who doesn't love the ELEPHANTS? Love them:love:
So we have a good time. Conner is so happy, and we do a little of this on the way out
2z3ynau.jpg

Cheese..can't you just hear Zachy?
11v35dx.jpg

See how happy this family is?
I could just crack his skull. Look at my dh..this is why we just can't get along! Would it kill you to work with me just a little bit?

So...we go back to the car, and make our way over to our lunch destination. Serendipity 3! Love this place, love this place, love this place! Great burgers, awesome frozen hot chocolate, and any ice cream is good also. So we get there, find a parking spot 2 blocks away, and walk over. The wait is 60 minutes. My fault, didn't make a reservation...on a Sunday afternoon in the city. Regular genius, I know. Whatever...build a bridge right?!
Well, I put our name on the list..and walked up to the corner to a candy mecca. Dylan's Candy Bar! WOOOOOHOOOO! Do Not come in there if you can not resist sweets. Real talk though, definately have your money game right when you walk up in here! Every single candy in the world is in this place

There is no detail overlooked! Candy in the stairs..Cool!
We spend way too much time in there, and even more money ($22) on gummy bears only! It's a sin..the kids weren't right digestively for days! Not a good look, not a good luck at all! Learn from me. So we go back up the street, sit on a now vacant bench..and wait. And take these

Very small shop

Zachy taking off.
So 10 minutes later we get in, and have a very uneventful lunch. Disappointing even, for me. The kids did show and tell big time in here. Angry black woman again, I can't with that terrible 2 kid! He took every piece of silverware and hauled it on every table that neighbored ours! Have I told you how he runs things, even more so in public. And so starts show and tell. He screamed, so loud in my left ear. I swear on everything I love, that I have lost like at least 10% of my hearing in that ear. And that is real talk! No comic relief, lost hearing! So we ate fast, and got the hell out of Dodge. Conner was laughing the whole time like he was told the best joke ever, and that makes me even crazier...seriously. And what was my dear husband doing? You tell me, because I would love to know his role in this situation. So let me know what Billy was doing during show and tell in Serendipity 3. Ultimately we did have a good time, and the 5 year old Birthday boy had fun, a hot dog, and $22 worth of Gummie Bears. A perfect day in his eyes..and that is all that matters for us..happy, disfunctional times! That we look back on and laugh about.
Later

See your better then me, because I can not talk to the blank face!lol
Thanks for coming along for the ride.

The blank face came and WENT a long time ago. After a few times of going to bed and blank facing him, letting him see what it feels like to have someone "be excited;)" about something and have the other person act like yeah, yeah, can we just get to where we're going and get there fast" he changed his tune. Now hold up. I am NOT saying that he could tell you anything that I had just said but he will smile, nod AND give eye contact. I have learned to look at his level of interest in my story and give him back the same level of interest back when he wants to "tell me a story;);)."

Loving the pictures!

That's original...I'll try to use it. Is that cool with you?

Give it a try. Sometimes it does actually work. But I am known to be a pest until I get my way.
