Hi there:wave2:

I found your PTR from NuttyDisneyMom's PTR and am on board!

Also, I've found someone else who's going to be there when I am!! We arrive 11/22 and leave 11/27. We will be one of the crazy people that will be in the MK on Thanksgiving!:scared1: Well, we'll see anyway.:goodvibes

I love the Disney crocs, I actually bought DH and I each a pair. He actually has already just about worn them out over the summer, I should've hidden them and gave them to him later.....

I WANT THAT PURSE!!! Where did you say it could be purchased?

I'm in and loving your trip report so far. I have got to work on my report, but we just got back Sunday so I have some work to do. Keep up the good work and the picks. I am also a scrapbooker and love the autograph book. I made 3 one for each of my kids when we went in June, they really enjoyed them.

ALERT!! ALERT!!!:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

I must have this DOONEY & BOURKE purse from WDW!! I hope they are still at World of Disney when we get there.

THANK YOU Hallowishes for enabling me!! I hope you don't mind I swiped the picture to show everyone here!!

It goes against every fiber of my being to want this bag because I work for Coach........BUT I WANT IT!!!

Oh my goodness, I hope it's still there when I go too! BTW, I absolutely love your autograph pages! I'm not big into scrap booking, but my mother is. She is actually a Stamp It Up representative, and turned my old bedroom into her personal craft room the second I moved out :rotfl:

Stopping by to say hello to a fellow scrapper! :goodvibes
Love the Crocs!

You Autograph book is AMAZING!!!!! That is such a special keepsake for you daughter!

And I'm in love with that D&B purse! DH would have my head on a platter if I bought it though

Here is my all time favorite shot that I took in DL in 2006. I'm not sure who this couple is, but this is what the magic is all about!!

teacupcouple-2.jpg

This pic brought a tear to my eye. Can you imagine all the years they've shared together. This pic is the true meaning of young at heart! Walt would have loved it!

Oh and no offense but that Crazy Crab has got to be one of the ugliest things I've ever seen! :lmao: A face only a mother, or in your case, a DH could love I guess! :rotfl:

Hi again! Just wondering if you knew the price on the purse??? I have a DFriend that is drooling and will probably make me get her one as well!!!

I thought the couple in the tea cups were adorable as well.

I also had scrapbook envy on your autograph pages. :rolleyes1

But right now i am online shopping and reading about Doh Bars so I guess that will keep me calm for a little bit. :surfweb:

I am really enjoying your PTR! Thanks for writing! Makes me want to plan another trip real soon. I also lived in the Bay area for 3 years - loved it and got a real kick out of your crab pictures. Now I am thinking to email Mom the photo of the couple in the tea cups - she was surprised to see folks her age and older enjoying the Parks and I was glad to see that. I hope that is what I will be like at that age!

You will have an awesome Thanksgiving!

Hey there! Just posting to let you know I'm along for the ride. We will be at WDW the same week. I will have my MIL along with us as well. She may need to get an ECV, especially towards the end of the week. I'm not sure how to proceed with that, though.

Here is my all time favorite shot that I took in DL in 2006. I'm not sure who this couple is, but this is what the magic is all about!!

I absolutely LOVE this picture :lovestruc

35 days!! Let the countdown begin!!!!:banana::banana:

I see I have some catching up to do here!!! We just got our DME package this morning with our bright yellow luggage tags. Maybe I'm just being a brat, but it clearly has directions on the tags as to what to do with them including photos. I can't tell you how many calls I get a day with guests having no idea what to do with their yellow tags. :confused3

Thank you all for the compliments on the Tea Cup picture. I was shooting my DH and DD and I saw them and they were both laughing and having so much fun!! Their cup just happen to come in my view and CLICK!! I have framed it and put it in my office, I wish I knew who they were so I could send them a copy!! I hope that is my DH and I in ....40 years?? lol.

Here is my DH & DD on the same ride. On the 50th Anniversary every ride that was around at the time DL opened had one ride painted gold. So of course dd wanted to ride on the golden ride every time. She was lucky on the tea cups as you see.

Slight hijack. Today is 20 years since the big earthquake in SF. I was just remembering about the day..

One of the scariest days of my life. I was a young newlywed only married one month and I worked in the financial district in SF right off of Market Street. It was a weird day to begin with because the weather was warmer then normal and pretty calm. Really what some folks around here call "earthquake weather". There was much excitement in the air because of World Series. It was the Bay Bridge Series Giants vs the A's and our office was split down the middle, those from the East Bay and those from SF.

I traveled from the East Bay on BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) every morning to get to work. Sometimes depending on the day I would wear my tennies and then switch to heels when I get to the office. That day thankfully I wore my tennies.

Quitting time was 5:00pm usually but because of the game my boss shooed us all out so we could get home to watch it at about 4:50. My two co-workers and I head down to the Embarcadero Bart station which is below ground under Market Street. We were underground one level at the ticketing area and one more level down was the train. Just as we were approaching the escalator it hit. At first I thought...ok it's just an earthquake. I'm a Ca native so I'm used to that. Then it kept going and the ground started rolling. The three of us just held on to each other in a group huddle because if we didn't we would have been knocked off our feet. I don't know how it was possible but it seemed like the escalator actually rose up in a roll. I really began to think that was how we were going to die and the street above us was going to cave in on top of us. When the shaking stopped we quickly made our way back up the stairs and on to the street.

The first thing I noticed was the Embarcadero Building the flag on the top was bent and broken and the American flag was just kind of hanging there. The time was stopped at 5:04. All around us was glass..everywhere. People were bloody from glass falling on them and of course scared and in a panic. For some reason, which I could never figure out during an earthquake most of the skyscrapers window's are made so during an earthquake they pop outwards so they don't hurt the people in the building. But what about the people in the street?? It felt like an end of the world or zombie movie people just moving slow and in shock really not knowing what to do. Other were jumping in right away to help people in need and the police were doing the best they could to keep everyone calm on the streets.

Panic set in because I had no idea how I was going to get home. BART was indefinitely closed. There was no electricity. We tried to get back into our building, but everything was locked. One of my co workers that I was with left to go check on his mom which left me and Colleen a Boston native that just moved to SF with me. She lived in SF but on the other side in the Sunset district. After checking every pay phone, none of them worked, no cell phone back in these days, Colleen and I decided to try to catch a bus or taxi to her house. So we just started walking, and walking, and walking...all the mom & pop stores were giving out ice cream since it was melting and as you walked you would here more stories about what was happening because everyone was out of their house and on the street. I mean EVERYBODY..lol.

Every bus that came buy or taxi was full. Most of the Muni buses in SF run on electricity (wires up above the street) and so they didn't work. Every phone along the way didn't work. We began to see the smoke billowing from the Marina district as most of it was on fire. We heard on the street that part of the Bay Bridge was damaged and a large part of the Cypress Freeway in Oakland had collapsed. All I could think of were my friends and family that I knew drove through there everyday and not knowing if they were ok. I couldn't contact my family and I knew they would be so worried.

We walked for 3 hours and it started to get dark. The only light to guide us was the light from the headlights of the cars that went by. I really didn't know where were going 1/2 the time and Colleen had just moved here. Walking through the neighborhoods it was pitch black at one time. Amazing when there is no light from the city. We had to hold hands at one point it was soo dark.

Finally we reached a co workers home and she had other refuges from the office and I was able to stay with her that night. Colleen's mom came and got here and she was able to reach my mom from her phone and let her know I was ok. My mom didn't understand why I wasn't calling and didn't believe her. She was pretty emotional and shook up. She lived in Oakland and they did get their power back and the news reports were saying it's so dark in San Francisco it was like it wasn't even there.

The next morning I was able to call my husband and he insisted on coming to pick me up. BART was working so I told him I would just go home that way. The bridge was closed and other roads into SF had collapsed so it wasn't a good idea. I can remember being on the train and so scared that another aftershock would hit. The train goes went by the Cypress Freeway and you can see the collapse and at that time they were still trying to rescue people that were trapped. I'll never forget going by there and everyone on the train just silent and looking.

I believe there were about 65 people that died that day. I think if the World Series wasn't going on it would have been much more. People rearranged their regular schedules because of the games and there would have been many more commuters out on the road. I'm sooo thankful all of my family and friends were ok and everyone's homes made out with minor or without any damage.

Sorry this turned out to be kind of long..lol. I usually think of this day as it passes, but today being 20 years it really made me remember.

Hi I had a little catching up to do....

Here is my all time favorite shot that I took in DL in 2006. I'm not sure who this couple is, but this is what the magic is all about!!

Lime Green Mickey Head (Disney paint swatches from Home Depot) Most of the Dis people use the LGMH's to be recognized by other Dis'ers.

AHHHH thank you!! I know what those are! I'm going to get some paint swatches to attach to our scooters. I love paint swatches from Home Depot. I use the Mickey ones and the regular ones on some of my scrapbook pages.

:welcome:

Also, I've found someone else who's going to be there when I am!! We arrive 11/22 and leave 11/27. We will be one of the crazy people that will be in the MK on Thanksgiving! Well, we'll see anyway.

I WANT THAT PURSE!!! Where did you say it could be purchased?

We will see you there!! Where are you staying?? Glad you're joining us so we can countdown together! The purse can be purchased at World of Disney at DTD or Grand Floridian. Here is a post of other stores where it has been found on Hallowishes orginal thread. Rumor is that it is going to come out in blue. I would prefer to have blue as white probably is not going to work for me..lol.

I'm in and loving your trip report so far. I have got to work on my report, but we just got back Sunday so I have some work to do. Keep up the good work and the picks. I am also a scrapbooker and love the autograph book. I made 3 one for each of my kids when we went in June, they really enjoyed them.

Thank you so much!! I look forward to seeing your report. 3 books, wow you are ambitious. If you can take some pics I'd love to see them. :cheer2:

It goes against every fiber of my being to want this bag because I work for Coach........BUT I WANT IT!!!

Oh my goodness, I hope it's still there when I go too! BTW, I absolutely love your autograph pages! I'm not big into scrap booking, but my mother is. She is actually a Stamp It Up representative, and turned my old bedroom into her personal craft room the second I moved out

LOL...how would that work if you carried in a D & B bag to work?? Can you see if Coach can perhaps do some collaborating with Disney???!!!! That would be SWEET!

Thanks so much for your comments and for joining us! I can relate to your mom, I'm just waiting for my 18 year old to move so I can put more of my scrapbooking stuff in there!! Stamp It Up has great stamps!!

Stopping by to say hello to a fellow scrapper!
Love the Crocs!

You Autograph book is AMAZING!!!!! That is such a special keepsake for you daughter!

Hi fellow scrapper!! :wave2:

Thank you so much and welcome. I know she does appreciate it and she's excited I'm making it, which makes it all the more fun for me to make it for her.

Oh and no offense but that Crazy Crab has got to be one of the ugliest things I've ever seen! A face only a mother, or in your case, a DH could love I guess!

I'm covering his ears so he doesn't hear you...wait a minute, where are his ears?? :rotfl:

Hi again! Just wondering if you knew the price on the purse??? I have a DFriend that is drooling and will probably make me get her one as well!!!

I believe it is $175.00!! What a nice friend you are :thumbsup2

I also had scrapbook envy on your autograph pages.

But right now i am online shopping and reading about Doh Bars so I guess that will keep me calm for a little bit.

Thank you!! Tell me about these...DOH Bars!! :scratchin

Can't believe we're both almost under the 30 day mark!:woohoo: My D&B bag arrived on Friday and it's even better in person!!! I'm definitely in love with it:lovestruc

And doh bars....are heaven on a stick! It's a candy bar, usually snickers, dipped in funnel cake batter and deep fried!:cloud9:

Thank you I am so excited about spending Thanksgiving at WDW!! LMK if your mom likes the picture!!

Hey there! Just posting to let you know I'm along for the ride. We will be at WDW the same week. I will have my MIL along with us as well. She may need to get an ECV, especially towards the end of the week. I'm not sure how to proceed with that, though.

Ok it's after midnight!!! 34 days!!

Thanks for reading. I've been watching you PTR as well. Your kids are adorable!

Are you thinking of ordering a scooter from off site? My mom did not want one but she has no idea how big everything is and I knew there was no way she would make it just walking as she is not well at this time. So we went ahead and ordered for her and myself. We went to Randy's mobility and they were very helpful.. They will be meeting us at CSR once we arrive to go over everything and to deliver the scooter. My mom finally agreed that this would be the best thing. Maybe your MIL will too?

I am in LOVE w/ this picture too....that is the sweetest thing I ever saw....I showed it to my DH just now as he was passing by and said the same as you, hoping that is us someday....we are planning a 15 yr anni trip in May of 2011 (our actual anni is in July...but no thank you to FL heat), I was making a comment to my DH earllier just today that my brother (who is not a big Disney fan...something wrong w/ that boy) thinks DH & I are crazy to get away from the kids for 5 days and we are going to WDW..and DH says to me...can you think of any other place you'd want to go away together for 5 days....ah NO!

AAhhh that is sooo sweet that the pic sparked the conversation between you and DH!! How fun you are planning your 15 yr at WDW w/o the kids. I'm sure it would be hard at first and you'll have your moments of missing the kids, but I would go for it!! After this trip I might just have to start planning our 15th which would be in..2013!

Can't believe we're both almost under the 30 day mark! My D&B bag arrived on Friday and it's even better in person!!! I'm definitely in love with it

And doh bars....are heaven on a stick! It's a candy bar, usually snickers, dipped in funnel cake batter and deep fried

Doing the almost 30 day dance with ya!! :dance3::dance3:

Glad you are enjoying your purse! Do you get comments on it from others? Now I don't have to fight you for it at WDW!!

It's 1:45am and I am so hungry! Where can I get one of those Doh bars at this time of the night?!

Off too bed! I want to share some of the goodies I got for our trip tomorrow..or um actually today.

I am glad you shared your story about the SF earthquake. I have never heard anyone's personal account of that day. How super scarey that had to have been.:scared1:

I was born and raised in San Diego so I know that oftentimes when an earthquake hit you just assumed it was a small one and after just a pause in your life, you continued on. Odd what we grow accustomed to as "ordinary" isn't it?
