I think they are absolutely adorable and I have one in particular catching my eye with Marie on it.

Thing is I stopped using a backpack several years ago when I discovered crossbody bags.
I never have to take it off to go on a ride or get something out of it.

These mini backpacks are calling my name though lol.
Are the straps comfortable?
Does it seem bulky on your back?
In general what do and don't you like about it?
Worth the price tag? (haha that is coming from someone that just bought the latest Disney VB triple zip hipster but at least I use that in everyday life and Disney vs a mini backpack that is likely only for the parks)

I can't answer your question but went to check them out and the Minnie one is adorable. I'm a crossbody bag user also especially now that my kids are bringing their own string backpacks. I think the benefits of a crossbody (which Loungefly also makes) out weighs the cuteness - at least for me.

I'm not a fan of crossbody so can't give you pros and cons comparison
I do own 3 loungefly mini backpack. They are pricey but they are so comfortable to wear, they can fit a lot, and are very durable, I put mine through a lot at the parks and I visit at least twice a week and I have a 2 year old one that is still going strong, no rips or dents, only some sun damage

My dd has two that she uses in the parks all the time. She loves hers. I'm thinking of getting my own!!

DD has 3, I have 1. Very durable and I mean that in every sense of the phrase. A bit pricey, but very unique and always coming out with new designs. Not as expensive as Dooney and Bourke. Hold more than a crossbody.

Husband uses crossbody and prefers that over a regular backpack. I like the loungefly backpacks but I pack too much at the parks for them to work for me for that purpose only. Not sure how much you pack but they just don't hold our snacks, other items and refillable bottle plus when it's hot out, they suffocate my back bc they are pleather or whatever they're made of. My under armour backpack works better for me but if you don't pack much for the parks or only go for a few hours and don't need a big bag, they work great. They are small enough to easily fit between/under legs for rides and hold enough if you aren't a park pack rat like me!

Yes they do make a lot of crossbody bags as well but I just haven't found a style that would suit my needs.
They are too big, too small, or the right size but don't zip lol. I'll keep looking though but the backpacks just seem like a perfect size and have the best patterns.

I'm not one to take much into the parks but I do like enough room at least in the summer for a bottle of soda in case I don't feel like drinking the entire thing in one sitting. And I like to be able to put my hat in during some attractions.

So how much can you really fit in it? Could I fit, say a wallet sized clutch wallet, a few granola bars, three water bottles, a small deodorant, small bottle of powder, and bottle of ibuprofen? If you could create a measurement scale entirely based off how many water bottles it could fit inside, how many water bottles could fit, what would you say it could fit? Wouls anyone be willing to fill up their loungefly mini for a sample park day and take some pics filled up and empty? I've seen them and they're so cute, but they are pricey!

The mini backpacks are generally 10.5 inches tall by 9 inches wide by 4.5 inches front to back.
I don't know if you could ti all of those things in it and if you could it would likely feel pretty heavy on your back.
I don't think mini backpacks are meant for that much weight.
For what you describe I'd go with a full size backpack but then again I don't bring anywhere near that amount of stuff and I don't actually own a Loungefly mini backpack as of yet so I'm really just guessing here lol.

Whenever I vacation I use a crossbody bag, however, I always use a small crossbody bag. I like how I can reach in and grab whatever without taking them off and they do seem more secure/preventative from pickpocketing and hatnot. On our last Disney vacation I wore a loungefly mini backpack (Mickey) and found it to be very comfortable as the straps spread the weight out on two shoulders rather than just one. I was able to put more items in my backpack and yet it didnt feel heavier because it was on both shoulders. One suggestion if you use a mini backpack, tighten the straps a little so it doesnt sit super low on your back. I had mine loose and found that it rubbed against my clothes and so my sweatshirts looked a little worn. After washing they dont look it anymore but before it did. If I had worn a crossbody bag the same would have occured since the straps rub when you walk. The loungefly backpacks hold up very well as well.

If you can't decide, you can do what I did and bring both. I ended up using my backpack the whole time since it's very Disney and my crossbody wasnt (its a pacsafe) but I liked having the option to change if I felt one wasn't working. I flew and the loungefly backpacks are a little wide so it may take up a little space but either way I like having that option.

That is another downside I found with backpacks was the rubbing on my lower back making my clothes bally.
I don't have that problem with crossbody bags as I get ones with flat straps that don't move around and I wear the bag at my hip so the bag itself touches my shorts not my shirt.
Ugh being reminded of these things makes me leans towards not buying it.

I'm short and I've found that cross body straps rub my clothes and make them bally between my shoulder blades (even the flat strap ones) so for me its not huge deal that it rubbed my back. I just overall felt the backpack more comfortable.

I found the perfect park bag January 2018. I only carry the essentials. I like it because the straps are actually straps and not string. I also like the side zipper pouch. I saw a 2019 version 2 weeks ago.IMG_20180817_202743_072.jpg IMG_20180817_202743_072.jpg

I have the 2012 version of that bag. I do like it but then started using crossbody bags. I just think the loungefly ones are so adorable.

I use a Crossbody, but daughter has the Mickey backpack. She loves it.
Mind you she is in Middle School, so she is used to wearing a backpack everyday...doesn't seem to phase her in the least.
Me on the otherhand....I like that my Crossbody is a set and forget it type of thing. I never take it off, so i never have to worry that i forgot it somewhere.

another bonus...my crossbody is only the size of a man's wallet,....so if i happen to wear cargo pants/shorts. I put the bag in my pocket and skip the bag check on entry.

OP here... went to the mall today and checked out the Marie one I had considered.
Its so adorable but I just don't think I can do it.
When the straps are fully tightened it feels good on my back but its so hard to take on and off.
When the straps are loose the bottom of the backpack is angled towards my back which is not comfortable and the straps slide off my shoulders easily.
I wish the bottom was not quite as stiff and sturdy so it could lay a bit flatter to me.
I guess as cute as they are they just aren't practical for me.
I will stick to my Disney VB crossbody.

AND.... After I posted this I noticed they had a 30% off flash sale today only which brought it down from $64.50 to $45.50 so.... I bought it and a coin purse that I wanted but couldn't find in the store and got free shipping.
The employee told me that if you can break it in a bit its actually pretty comfortable so thinking back to that I was like ok you twisted my arm lol.
I figure if I get it and decide I just can't deal with breaking it in I'll return it.

I don't think you will regret it! I have 2, DD has 2 and I just bought DM one for our Dec vacation. I also like that vs a VB that if it rains it doesn't get drenched.
