Yep, I took a picture of that (9100 total) COMPLETED 9/1

Then we came to the store I was looking for. You see just before we left for our trip Tina and I had stopped in a Disney store or two looking for some pirate gear but everybody only has the princess outfits. One of the ladies told me to try Downtown because they had a whole pirate section…..and Nate loves to be Jack Sparrow! Into the World of Disney we go…..

And Logan is all about Cars!

dis216.jpg

I snuck out for a cup of coffee (there’s a little stand outside) and noticed the other exit.

dis218.jpg

dis220.jpg

And ran back in just as Tina was about to checkout. We picked up a few things for ourselves but the big thing was an entire Jack Sparrow outfit for Nate (pics to come) Logan just wasn’t interested but he loved that Lightning McQueen hat, so that was purchased also. I felt bad that Logan didn’t want a bigger gift from here but he was pretty content with the hat. I guess he knows what he wants, and that’s that!
Standing at the register I noticed some things I had missed while walking around the store.

We head out with packages in hand and start over to the lego building, not to shop but just to see the statues outside when we ran into this lady.

dis231.jpg

Her name is Nancy and she lives close by. We chat for a while about everything from her job to her commute to work. She used to work over at Soarin’, now she wanders the park and chats with guests making sure everyone is as happy as they can be. How cool is that? I’m telling you, I’m in the wrong line of work! After a while, she gives the boys some Mickey Pirate stickers and we are on our way. We admire the lego’s

And head toward the bus stop.

The main thing we were here for was the pirate costume (pics to come) and we got that done. There is one more thing though that is becoming a family tradition……THE FOUNTAIN! Last year we spent hours letting the kids run through the fountain out front and this year would be no exception. The kids get to cool down for as long as they want, we get a break, and there’s no lines. What more could you ask for?

We bundled up with towels (I’m telling you Tina thinks of EVERYTHING) and head to the busses. The lines were absolutely crazy to where I couldn’t even get a picture to show how crazy they were! Mostly everybody was heading to Pop, our bus was just us and one other family.

And I got to relax

We head back to the Beach House to relax for a bit and Nate was DYING to try on the Captain Jack outfit.

Feat hurting and the heat wearing us thin, we head to the pool. I do have more shots of the entire pool area that I’ll post later on, but for now, here’s the sandy part. I could hang out here all day with no problem at all. It feel so nice on you feet and it’s the perfect depth to play with the kids. This right here makes the Beach club perfect in my opinion. I’d like to try other hotels one day but for now, this is home.

I’m going to wrap it up here, but later in the evening we will get to Spectromagic and a couple other lesser seen attractions that are on the list for next time. Everybody have a magical day and I promise to have an update in less time than it took to do this one!

See ya real soon!

Beach towels to DTD! Brilliant!

Also, loving the Capt. Jack outfit. Do you recall how much it costs?

Whew!!!

What an awesome barrage of photos. That was fun.
And yes...Beach Club looks very nice, such a relaxing and fun place to hang out....will have to stay there some day!

Don't think I've ever seen the Americana stuff in the Christmas store before. Cool.

I don't remember if it was there last year or not but that's a favorite style of Tina's.

I do remember being in there taking pictures and getting odd looks from both Tina and my mom, I told them someone is going to see something new and might want to check it out the next time they are here! HA! :rotfl:

LOL -- very good.

And now you can feel nice and justified :lmao:

Ah, just caught all the way up. That was quite a bit, too! :lmao: Things I just had to comment on:

1. That Surprise Fastpass! Awesome! I didn't even know such things existed...

2. The Bee tape at the Winnie the Pooh ride. We ride that almost every trip. I've never noticed it before. :lmao:

3. Turns out we had the same reaction to that Flight of the Navigator ship. You are just 1 year older than me....we watched that movie about once a week when I was a kid. Now, I've shown it to mine. It was great!

4. I agree with your wife. I just can't spend much time in an arcade! :confused3

5. Finally, something that coincided with our plans. We were in Epoct that day. We donned our ponchos, but hid out for a bit under an overhang by some doors of an empty building. (well, it seemed to be a warehouse of sorts for the big gift shop in Future World) Have not seen ourselves in your pics.

6. That is one cool pirate costume. I love it! :thumbsup2

The outfit was $60 and we were on vacation, so after about 30 minutes I said go for it. If you are thinking about getting it, you need to tune in for Day 7. There was actually a reason we got it!

I'll have more pics of the beach club later on. I'm thinking of doing a "Bonus Pictures" section......you know, because sometimes you just can't get enough pictures!

Me neither! I love Disney Surprises!

I thought that was great when I looked down and saw that. I'm dying to get back and look for more things like that!

I want to see it again so bad! I think this is going to be an expensive year for me with movies. I'm going to see about picking up some older ones on ebay so I can share them with the boys.
4. I agree with your wife. I just can't spend much time in an arcade! :confused3
I grew up in an arcade in the mall where my parents owned a store. I could spend hours in there now and forget I'm now in my 30's! I love being a kid again!

I'm just waiting for someone to say I posted a pic with them in it doing something embarrassing! :rotfl2: I've gone through and tried to look to make sure there's no one picking their knose or something like that :lmao:

Wait till Day 7

F.Y.I.

If anybody sees a pic where they are in the background and for whatever reason would like it taken off the boards, please let me know via private message and I will do it with no questions asked.

Hi Glenolden, Ridley Township Disney addict checking in. Your boys are adorable. As you can see I have been on the boards for awhile, but I lurk every day and only post once in awhile. But I just had to post on a Delaware County diser's trip report.

Your pictures are wonderful, we only go once every 2-3 years, so at least I get to live through other's reports.

Kim

Hey NateNLogansDad - WOW!! You took alot of great pictures! Your kids are too cute and it looks like they were having a great time. They lasted through some long days! I'm looking forward to the next update!
Vicky

Lovin' your trip report! I also have 2 little guys, so I enjoy reading about your adventure! Great job on taking all of those pics:thumbsup2

Hey Kim, nice to meet you! There are so many people around here that are Disney lovers but probably don't know about the Disboards! I hear people talking about it all the time and see the Mickey antenna balls every day on my way into work but you are the first one I've heard from in the area! Welcome aboard and no more lurking! Jump right in!

They had a blast and hung in there really well. Nate really shocked me when we woke up and the two of us walked to Soarin' from our hotel room. I'm hoping to have another update very soon and I hope you stick around for it. Feel free to post back, I love hearing from people reading this!

Thank you! I hope next year isn't going to be 9000 pics of the same exact thing! Stick around, there's still PLENTY more to come!

Those pictures from the fountain were priceless. Your kids looked as if they were having a blast!

It sounds like you were having a great day. The boys looked like they were having a blast in those water fountains. The Captain Jack costume is great, I am glad you found what you were looking for. Thanks for sharing all your pictures. I saw a lot of Christmas ornaments that I would like to have.
