Day 7 (Part 1) - Thursday, November 20th, 2003

CAST OF CHARACTERS:
Yecats - Me, myself and I.
Me is Single, 33 (however, other two personalities - myself is about 10 years old and an advid SM freak and the I personality may be about 60 years especially after getting off of the ToT).

Also on board is my new Canon ZR65 Digital Videocamera nicknamed: Handycam, as it was always in my hand.

PLAN FOR THE DAY:
1. Epcot (for the last time)
2. Magic Kingdom

I originally had planned this day in reverse doing MK first (as EE day) with Epcot in the evening but plans change especially with me by weeks end with a trip. I also had lunch PS for Crystal Palace which did get thrown out of the window. What a beautiful day, btw, it was very sunny and a wonderful 72 degrees.

I decided to wake up late today. I have been going pretty strong all week and have accomplished a lot and have seen much of what I wanted. My alarm was set to go off at 9:30, however, the neighbor staying in the room directly above me woke me up at 8:50. I woke up to that suction noise created by a flushing toilet on the floor above me. I turned over to look at the clock, 8:50. Okay so I have managed to sleep a good 10 hours and feel relatively rested. As I lay there contemplating my day and waiting for another annoying wake up call from Mickey, I begin to notice that the above neighbor must be sick. In a 15 minute span, the toilet flushed 8 times and it really is loud. Well 9:30 came so I am up and getting ready to head out. Now my room didn't have a do not disturb sign and this was the only day that Mousekeeping knocked on the door about 9:50. I yelled from the bathroom that I would be out in another 15 minutes.

I decided to walk to the South depot behind Magnolia Terrace. My thinking was that I was heading to the MK. After several minutes waiting the Epcot bus showed up and I all of a sudden decided to take it (as my previous waits for MK have been lengthy, while Epcot buses arrive quite frenquently). I figured that I would enjoy taking the Monorail, once again, from Epcot to MK. We pull up at Epcot and as I am walking from the bus stop I am thinking that as it is now 10:10, MK was probably pretty full from EE day and people entering the park since 9:00 so scrapped the idea and into Epcot I head. Another idea that popped into my head is that I usually head into Epcot in late afternoon and evening so I would go here during daylight hours for 2nd time this trip.

TIP:
Should you want breakfast, make sure that you are at the restaurant by 10:10

Okay need breakfast so I head on over to the Electric Umbrella.
I walked in and stood in line for a few minutes and eventually get up to the register to place my order by 10:25.

Now, in Adam Sandler's movie, Big Daddy, he takes this kid one morning and promises him a McDonald's Breakfast. The kid is moving slow and Adam is telling him how McDonalds stop serving breakfast at 11:00 a.m. In the end, Adam and kid walk into McDonalds and place their order at 10:59 and are told that breakfast is no longer served after 10:30.

Back to the Electric Umbrella. I tell the CM at the register that I would like a #3 (french toast sticks) with a large chocolate milk. I then get a strange look and she asked me if I was ordering breakfast. Wait, this is 10:25 a.m. I respond "Yes" breakfast. She then yells to a food server in the back to see if they still have french toast sticks to serve me. Am I really hearing this, apparently so. He yells back yeah, but that is the last breakfast order. Okay Big Daddy moment over. I eventually get my breakfast (whilst everyone else was having to order burgers and chicken strips) and take a seat by the windows looking out towards the dancing fountains. Breakfast was at least good.

As I am sitting there enjoying my french toast sticks, I notice a group performing beyond the fountains on the top of a small stage. They are dressed something like the blueman group in Vegas. There are 2 men and one woman totally decked out in blue with face paint, etc. They are doing acrobatics where they have to balance off of each other (you see plenty of this type of thing in Vegas as well). Well Handycam got a great view of them as a closeup (which I watched from my table through the view screen - why stand in a crowd). They were very good.

I ate my breakfast and decided to see Ellen and those darn dinosaurs. After my energy adventure, walked back to Test Track and rode only 2 times before obtaining Don King hair. Then onto Norway to ride Maelstrom twice. Heading back to future world I ran into Space Mickey and took a picture with him. Then I ran into a 3 man trashcan band and filmed them for a few minutes which were very entertaining. Okay time to get shrunken with the rest of the audience (I continue to hate the preshow as I do get tearyeyed everytime I am in there) and then into Figment's Imagination once and played in post show area for a few minutes. Decided to leave Epcot but stopped back at the Electric Umbrella for a late lunch. As it was 2:15 lunch was still on so I got the chicken strips and am out about $9.00. Ate and fed left over fries to the various flock of birds that were bothering everyone in the outside eating area. Yes I know you shouldn't but I am going to use the excuse that others were doing it and I would just be throwing those french fries away anyway.

One last ride on Spaceship Earth and off to wait for the Monorail to MK. As I am leaving on Saturday, I had originally planned to spend the late evening here as a fitting end to my trip but little did I know that this would actually be my last day here.
