Year of a Million Dreams

I read a little about this in another post. Can anyone please elaborate on this - what is it? When does it start? How will they pick people for the dreams?

What would you hope for if you got picked for a "dream"?

The only thing I know for sure is it runs from October through July. Not sure how they pick people. I'd wish to stay in the Cinderella apartment!

It starts on Oct. 1st. I'll be there on that day. Hip, Hip, Horray!!! 50th ann. ends on Sept. 31st. I'll be getting there on that day!!! Yahoooo!!!

I believe you have to register for this on the WDW website. They are giving away a million things some that are supposed to be amazing. A night in the castle. MK all to yourself. I believe they open the park after you go thru main street and the crowd follows you so you go to each section before everyone else w/ the crowd watching you. I read somewhere they are giving away Disney vacations for a lifetime. Also another one is you get to be Grand Marshal at each and every Disney park in the world.
