Looks good tinkerbeth!

<sigh> I wish I could get mine all set in stone. I have two days that I am so indecisive about still. Its driving me nutso!

What park or area will you be in on the 26th? Knowing what you'll be near will help us give you some suggestions :teeth:

Chris

Maybe on that day that you don't have any booked you could go to Whispering Canyon. I hear it is so much fun!!!!!

Have you been to Donald's before? We were there a few weeks ago and it was a huge disappointment. The food was really bad, the service not great, and the character interaction was "brisk". I have since read alot of not so good reviews on it. Had I known, I wouldn't have given it as a choice to my 5 y/o ds (it was his birthday breakfast) Not to sway your decision, but just as a friendly heads up!

I don't know if you can squeeze this in anywhere, but on your Magic Kingdom day, try to squeeze in the Trails End at FW. It is excellent and a great value! We've done breakfast there twice, but I understand that lunch and dinner "rock" too!! It's a nice relaxing boat ride from the MK.

Let me know how your dinner at Coral Reef goes - thinking of booking it for CP package as I think my little nephew would love eating there (and sis and I never have, yet) - it seems to get mixed reviews.

Have a wonderful birthday - we did CP dinner for my friend's birthday and we had a blast - we noted it on the PS and they even brought him a signed birthday card from all the Pooh characters!! Enjoy !:smooth:

I think your plans look great! Although you'll read a lot of negative reviews of Donald's Breakfastosaurus, we love it and eat there every trip! We always go to the first PS of the morning though, and a lot of the negative reviews seem to be for later PS's, so unless you've ate there before and know that you want a later PS you might want to move it up earlier.

For the 26th, where will you be? I didn't see any World Showcase restaurants in your plans, which I would recommend. But since it looks like you'll already be at Epcot for two other days you may not want to go back for a third time (although we end up at Epcot at least 3 times each trip, if not more!)

Looks good!

I would second Whisperin' Canyon Cafe. How about Boma as well?

We just returned last month and had an excellent time at Donalds breakfast. The characters came around twice and the waiter played a few tricks on our group.

Thanks for all your responses. I was going to call off Donald's but maybe we'll give it a try. my husband is a brit so maybe we'll try the Rose and Crown for dinner on the 26th...or Pepper Market.

Thanks again! I'm so excited!

Beth :)

Our seating at Donalds was at 10:30 a.m. Maybe that was the problem!! The food maybe had been sitting there for a while. Maybe it's a good idea to try it earlier.

We like the Rose and Crown alot. We never miss eating there. Another good place is Boma's. They have really good food. Your list looks really good. I can't wait to start planning more.

I second the idea of trying something in World Showcase, and especially recommend Restaurant Marrakesh, which is a great value and has a beautiful belly dancer, but the food is too exotic for some.

Have a GREAT time at HDDR on your birthday! It's my very favorite event in WDW. My birthday is next week, and wish I could celebrate it at HDDR!:sunny:

I also recommend trying another WS restaurant, rather than GG. We ate there in December and in April, and was not impressed. The restaurant is nice, and the character interaction is great, however, the food is not worth it. We will be trying Teppanyaki next time!

Great dining schedule otherwise!

What are your plans for the 26th, so we can give you better suggestions for that day!

tinkerbeth,

You & I have the same birthday!! :bday: :bday: :bday:

Here's my thoughts about dining:
1. Skip Chef Mickey's for dinner. I did this last trip and the food was awful. I would try the Whispering Canyon Cafe instead.
2. I would skip the Coral Reef and do Le Cellier
3. I would skip the Garden Grill and get a PS 1 1/2 hours prior to Illuminations at the Rose & Crown. Tell them of your special occassion and request a patio table. Check in early, tell them about your b-day and re-request a patio table. Tell them you do not mind waiting for one. The food is great, then you can sit back and enjoy your dessert while watching an unobstructed view of Illuminations from the comfort of your table.
4. I'd recommed the 50's Primetime at MGM over H&V.
5. For a really special birthday dinner, skip the HDD and get a PS on the night of a Wishes show at the California Grill. This is a fantastic restaurant with amazing views. I doubt you'd be sorry.
