well, my *new* DIS friend here in indy and i will begin our work out regimen on monday!! wish us luck! it's so nice to finally (only after a stinking year and a half here) to have met someone with similar interests who is nice and is willing to put up with me here in my area!!!

i'm probably too late, but have a good trip christine!!

we're under another winter storm warning here. it's supposed to be rainy today, then turn to freezing rain tonight, then turn to snow much later...the snow will stop sunday...forecasting 3-6 inches!! just when we've uncovered ourselves here more's a comin'...

yes but my excuse is that I didn't have my progressive lenses on when I typed that
hmmm "naked" maybe I didn't have anything on

about the progressive lenses...I love them
I thought I would hate them as most people i know that have them do. I was so sure I would hate them..but also very much needed them...I bought 2 pairs of glasses...the progressive ones and a regular pair to wear most of the time because the progressive's would be awful.
Well not the case...I have adjusted to them very well and only use my regular lenses when I go out to a game or movie or while driving as progressive's leave a slight blur on the perripheal vision.
Now I regret not getting the tinting on them...only had the others tinted
All I can say is I don't know how i got along without them

Sue has some new glasses too but she doesn't come arooound for us to ask her what she thinks

maybe I'll be able to get out for my 3 mile walk today...I haven't been able to do tis all winter because of snow or too cold...

All this talk of eyeglasses reminds me that I need to make another appointment with the eye doctor. I have progressive bifocals, but they aren't progressive enough anymore. That seems to keep happening to me. I tilt my head in order to read and run out of glasses before I run out of tilt.

At least it's going to get up to 47 degrees today. I can hardly wait to go outside for lunch. Of course, the weather folks are calling for a winter storm watch this weekend. I guess it's not over yet.

I'm getting excited!!!!!

I have been watching a fare for months $250 RT direct flights both ways....decent times.....now

I'm seeing some movement in the airfares for my dates....yesterday there was a fare $16 less that involved 1 stop on our return. Today I can save $33 each....thats times 4.....if I don't mind 1 stop each way. It'll mean not getting to the Swan till after midnight and I would have to fly home at 8 a.m. on the 29th with 1 stop....we are not morning people....
I'm excited....what to do....jump on it or watch and see if it drops a bit further....OH I COULD JUST SCREAM!!!!!!!

Manhattan has turned into sludge city - ugh!

My next problem is going to be that the snow is melting, and the people upstairs haven't shoveled off their terraces...now it's coming through my window! I just noticed on my way out the door - didn't have time to do much but stuff a towel on the window sill. Of course the landlady doesn't have this chick's phone number, either. Now I'm going to have to hope for the best, and either leave her a note or knock on her door when I get home tonight.

Please disregard my previous post....that excitement was very short lived....as I discovered immediately.......well almost immediately after posting here and after calling DH and getting him excited that I had accidently plugged in the wrong date not that it wasn' t doable but I don't want to knock a day off my vacation

so if you'll all excuse my my my error
just pretend I wasn't even here

and not only that...when I put in the correct date...one of the fares I was watching actually went up $10
