YC Constr. what should be 2nd choice?

My DH and I LOVE YC. We are planning on heading there Sept. 6th. But I've been reading the posts about construction at the hotel. Will they be finished by the 6th?
If not, what hotel should be our 2nd choice? I've heard people say the BC is not as nice as the YC, so I'm not sure about that.

What would be your 2nd choice?

I;m not sure when the construction will be done. I stayed at the BC a few years ago (3, I think) and at that time it seemed just as nice as YC. The two share the pools, the restaurants, and transportation, so if that's why you like YC, then BC might be a good idea. I've heard a lot of great things about the Boardwalk, and it's so close to YC, so that might also be a good choice.
One of the main reasons I love YC/BC is beacuse it is so easy to get to Epcot and MGM, and the Boardwalk.

That's why we love YC too. I love having Epcot and MGM plus all the restauants within walking distance.
I just thought BC was geared more to kids( just me and DH this time!!!) We like the elegance of YC. Is Boardwalk nice? Is it too loud with all the shops?

If you like YC, you should like BC... just be sure to request a room with a balcony... that is the biggest difference between the 2. Also, the decor is more light and airy at the BC. However, if you like the Epcot area, but still are so sure of staying at the BC for whatever reason, then the Boardwalk Inn would be great! It is quite beautiful, and very convenient to the parks, as well as shopping and nightlife. If you don't want to hear the nightlife in your room, then ask for a room that doesn't overload the Boardwalk Promenade.
