Hi everyone!!!! Looking for some thoughts. . . .

We've never stayed in the Epcot area before but we like the area alot so are thinking about it for our May 2005 trip but . . . . . here's my concern.

We "tend" to eat alot of our quick meals at the "quick serve" areas at the resorts (the Mara, Roaring forks, etc). But am I correct in the fact that the Boardwalk doesn't have that option really and that the YC/BC has it (Hurricane Hannahs) but its not open as long nor as conveniently located as the two I mentioned? Did that make sense?

If so - where do you grab quick but solid meals at these two locations easily?

I've never seen anyone really say this was a problem - so I must be missing something. I just can't see us doing sit down meals all the time with 3 my three sons.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and input - its much appreciated!!!

Heather

Yes, you are right. No food courts at either place. Beach Club has a burger place, Beaches and Cream, but that can get mobbed. Hurricane Hannahs is at the pool area and wasn't open when we were there last December. Boardwalk has a bakery for a quick bite on the run. One of the other options you have is to go over to World Showcase in Epcot, but that isn't the most convenient thing to do. Once we stopped at a different resort with a food court for dinner on our way home from the parks due to this issue. (we use our own car to get around) Not a big deal for us overall.

I disagree. The boardwalk has many a "windows" out onto the boardwalk where you can get food from the resturaunts and shops. Much greater variety.....

Then just grab a table and sit down to eat.

Got Quattro - You have me curious. Could you be more specific? Maybe we go in "off" seasons, but I didn't see all that much over on Boardwalk and we're going back this year.

Well, the Boardwalk area has the bakery....and Spoodles has a window for pizza...two choices there.

Jill

P.S. We LOVE the Boardwalk area! :)

Beaches & Creme is one of our favorite quick bites in all of WDW and lucky for you it's in the Epcot area. It does get VERY crowded during the peak seasons, but if you're going "off season" shouldn't be a problem. ALSO, The dolphin has a Cafetria-style dining option called "TUBBIES" which is very large , plenty of seating and very fast. GReat selection as well. It seems I remember you can pick up pizza at the boardwalk as well.

Go over to allearsnet.com and click on the dining section. All the restaurants (sit down and otherwise) at WDW are listed along with their menus. Look over the Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach clubs, and Swan/Dolphin for ideas on where you can eat.
We love staying in the Epcot resort area and have never had a problem finding someplace to eat.
