I am so excited! I just got off the phone with member services and was able to book Hilton Head for our 20th Anniversary trip. It will be our first stay there and now I need your help. Where should we go for a great anniversary dinner?

Congrats!! We love HHI!! I'm sure someone will be able to give you a good romantic spot for your anniversary dinner but we are always there with our kids and only frequent the more kiddie friendly restaurants.

We just went to HHI for our 20th anniversary last summer. It's a great place to spend some romantic time without the kids. On the night of our anniversary, we ate at the Chart House. It was so delicious with a nice atmosphere. Make sure to tell them it will be your anniversary when you make the reservations. There will be a nice surprise on the menu.

We're celebrating our 29th Anniversary there in April and planning our dinner at Old Fort Pub. Although we've never eaten there, Rachel Ray had a cocktail there in $40 a day, and it looked very romantic. Also, Gordon, in the Mercantile recommended it and when it comes to meals, he's always right on with his recommendations.
Just curious, when are you going?

We will be there the first week of August. Our anniversary is the 3rd.

All of these sound great. It will be strange not having to go to those "kid friendly" places. This will be our first "couple" trip (for more than one night) since our 10 year anniversary. We may have to try them all.:goodvibes Any other good ones out there I should know about?

Oh man! I just looked up all three of these choices and they look fabulous!!

I'll second the Old Fort Pub as a great spot for your anniversary.

Enjoy! :)

We will be celebrating our 30 th anniversary at HHI this May. I am most interested in learning about these restaraunts. Is OLD Fort Pub a waterfront restaraunt? Just looked up Frankie Bones....it looks great!

Yes, Oold Fort Pub is waterfront-not the ocean front, like at the Beach House-it's of the Intercoastal Waterway, more of a marsh-type look.

Old Fort Pub gets my vote...the she crab soup is awesome...yum

Old Fort Pub is an excellent choice.
Great food and view.
Chef Keith is a very nice guy and hard worker not to mention a good cook! ;)

Are the Chart House and Frankie Bones on the water? Also, what about attire for each resturant? Shirt and tie? Jacket? Seriously, we have not had to "dress" for dinner in years. The Olive Garden is about as fancy as we get with three kids. LOL

The Chart House is on the water but not Frankie Bones.
I wear a sport coat to Old Fort Pub and most folks dress up a bit.
In order of most to least expensive:
  1. Old Fort Pub
  2. Chart House
  3. Frankie Bones

Happy New Year!

Chum: Thank you. Good excuse for my husband to buy a new suit ;) I think we are leaning toward Chart House or Old Fort Pub, because we have a Frankie Bones near us and could hire a sitter for a night out if we decide to try it. Actually, we may try both, we do have 6 nights after all.

Any other good suggestions out there?
