Sorry this came out so long.

I'm ordering some stuff from Bath and body works and noticed this cute blanket. Its $35 and 56" by 60". Wondering if the price is worth it for the blanket, it does also said line dry only:laundy: which I find hard to do with such a big piece. It will be one of the gifts for my mom. What do ya think? Yay or Nay on this Blanket? I think I'm trying to talk myself out of it because part of me is saying "Your finished" with the Christmas gifts. But then its real cute right? And perfect for her to lay in front of the fireplace. I'm such a nut case around the Holidays!!:rotfl2: I think she also might appreciate a new PJ set......so maybe I can use the $35 for a sleep set instead. http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10768303&cp=2484777

Then we have granny which I am at a total loss for because she pretty much has everything! SO I figured she loves Cvs and gets her prescriptions & Vitamins there and so a gift card would be perfect. How much would you put on the card? She spends about $200 a month on her and my grandfather at CVS. Figure $100 sounds fair? Up to $150 is in the budget but I'm concerned about her carrying around that much in giftcards or losing some if I bought them in lower denominations. No way or how would she accept cash since its though enough for her to accept a couple presents during Christmas. What would you do? I've thought about going with her to pick up her things and just pay for them but she would cause a scene. ("OH no no no I'll pay")

I have to say I absolutely love that blanket and if it feels anywhere close to the way it looks you can't go wrong, but I am also one of those people that sits on the couch every night under a a blanket.

I think $100 on a CVS giftcard is a very very nice present and will be very much appreciated. As someone who works in a doctors office I hear all the time how expensive people's medications are and what a struggle it is.

It is a pretty blanket but the line dry only would be a big no for me.
does your mother have access to someplace she can dry it if it gets dirty? Some housing developments and condos don't allow clotheslines and that is a bit big to hang on a chair or over the shower to dry.
I think a blanket is a great idea but maybe you can find a nice one that is machine wash and dryable.
I have 6 different throws in my living room and am always under one in this cold weather. My favorite is the one I bought at a Stuckey's in SC one year for $5. It is so nice and warm, I wish I could find another. I hate cold. So I would not need a throw, but would love some nice warm pj's What about your mom?

I felt this blanket in the B&BW store and yes it IS as soft as it looks. I am soooo tempted to buy this now!

I ended up getting the blanket and had it shipped to my mom's house so I have less to bring up with me in the car. I can't wait to check it out! She does have a place to line dry inside so I ended up thinking she'd be okay hanging this big blanket out.

NAY...it was the line dry thing
LOve the blanket idea though...got one at llbean and its about same price with personalization ;)
grannys idea is great...I think $25 cards are nice, 100 total is you can afford it, lovely idea....

My grandma likes gift cards to get her nails done and to get her car washed.

Maybe you could do $50 to CVS and then $50 for something "fun"? Restaurant, nails?

I use to get my grandmother Applebees because I thought she enjoyed it. Turns out she only eats at McDonalds and Taco Bell. She saves the Applebees to use when I am with her LOL.
