Will be staying at POP with my then 22 mos old in December. Have requested a pack and play but if it's like our Graco at home, I'm not sure it will be firm enough for him to sleep on. The bottom of ours is a little flimsy. Someone on another thread said she takes along a piece of egg crate foam to make it softer (great idea!) but I am wondering if the bottoms of the ones at Disney are flimsy or pretty rigid.

Anyone have any recent experience with them?

They are pretty firm. And easy to get out of, if your kid is like mine.;)

All pack 'n plays come with a disclaimer not to put a mattress or any other type of pad inside except for the pad that comes with it. I didn't realize this until I asked a sales person at Babies R Us if a portable crib mattress would fit in a pnp and she said that they aren't allowed to give advice on that except to say not to use anything other than the pad that comes with the pnp. It's because any other type of mattress or pad may not fit tightly enough and could lead to a little one getting their face stuck between the mattress and the side of the pnp while sleeping and possibly suffocating. Also, little ones should sleep on firm surfaces, not soft ones like an eggcrate. I would be so worried about using something that soft that I'd be losing sleep while watching DD sleep .

We just got back from WDW. My youngest DS is 2.5 yrs old and he slept in the pack n play all week with no problems.

I can't comment directly on the PNP at Disney but I was recently on a cruise and used there standared Graco PNP for my 18 mo DD (who is 35 inches long and weighs 30.5 lbs). She slept as well as she did at home. I think it likely depends on how finicky/sensitive your baby is.

Thanks all! Think I will do some dry runs with our p & p at home (without the foam ;)). Guess I am thinking that I sure wouldn't be comfortable in that thing -- but I am slightly larger than my son.

We went to Disney in March. My daughter is two. We had her sleep in the bed. They have bed rails that worked perfectly. They were about 3 1/2 to 4 feet long and were pretty sturdy. I intend on requesting them again on our next trip.

My DS spent 6 trips in a PnP at Disney without a complaint. But he was used to it as he used one every day at daycare.
