YAY! My baby's first trip to Disney World! Sept 2007 pre-trip report *w/pics

We are headed down next month (so fun to say that) with our will be 17th month old daughter. I too am interested in what she likes and enjoys! We took my oldest at 9, 16, and 22 months and I must say she was so fun at 16 months and loved loved the characters.

Your trip is coming up soon, you must be soooo excited. When you get back let me know how it went with your youngest and if you have any tips and suggestions for me. I think my DD will do GREAT, but I'm still a little worried. Have fun!!

Just a suggestion...you should look into restaurant.com for dinner gift certificates in the towns where you're staying along the way. Someone posted a 70% off code on the budget board (the code is PRESENT). That would save you some bucks for Disney!

Day 3 ~~ September 14th
*Drive from Chesterfield MO to Kennesaw Georgia (9 hour drive)
Reservations at the Hilton Garden Inn

6:00AM- Wake up AHHHHHHHH
8:00AM- Check out and have breakfast at hotel
9:00AM- Be on the road
9:00PM- ETA into Kennesaw

Breakfast: Free breakfast at hotel.
~Sounds like a great free breakfast. Has hot sausage, eggs, bread, fresh fruit, bagles, waffles, biscuts and gravy, pastries, juices, ceral, etc, etc. And you can't beat free
Lunch: Eat whenever we get hungry
Dinner: Eat whenever we get hungry

Not stopping anywhere special today expect for the Gateway Arch in Saint Louis.

My husband and I made a stop there in 2001 on our way to florida when we got married. It was a really neat experience, and I think Reya would love to see it.
Other then stopping there we don't have any plans. If we see something that catches our eye we'll be sure to stop. We have a long driving day this day and I don't want to check in too late at the hotel. I'm excited for this day though because the drive through Kentucky/Tennessee and Georgia is beautiful.

Hope to get to bed asap after we check in, another long drive tomorrow. Finally arrive in Orlando though.

Day 4 ~~ September 15th*Drive from Kennesaw Georiga to Orlando Florida (8 hour drive)
*Reservations at the Meridian Palms hotel for 2nights. 1 king bed with pull out sofa for Mike when he arrives tomorrow.

6:00AM- Wake
8:00AM- Check out of room
7:00/8:00PM- ETA into Orlando

Breakfast: Would like to find a cracker barrel somewhere. I've never been and I heard that they have a great breakfast.
Lunch: Whenever we get hungry
Dinner: Whenever we get hungry...might wait until we get checked into hotel??

As for activities today we have two options. Either the Georgia Aquarium

or Coca-Cola World in Atlanta

It's still up in the air on which place we should visit. Any tips from previous visitors would be appreciated.

Once we get checked into hotel and have eaten dinner I hope to get to sleep early, we have a BIG day tomorrow and can finally enjoy Orlando.

September 15th ~~ Day 4
6:15AM- Wake up~~ Geezz I thought this was a vacation
7:45AM- Leave room, have free breakfast at hotel
8:15AM- Leave for Universal Studios

9:00AM- Pick up some Starbucks at Universal City Walk and be at the gates for the opening

Breakfast: Free breakfast at hotel
Lunch: PastaMore' at City Walk
Dinner: Planet Hollywood DTD


Rides and attractions to see for the day
1. ET
2. Jaws
3. Fivels Playground
4. Barneys day in the park
5. Let Reya play in the water at Curious Georges (remember to bring extra clothes)
6. Animal Planet Live
7. Shrek 4-5
8. EarthQuake
9. Twister

2:00PM- Leave Park go to hotel to freshen up and let DD take a nap. Wait for Mike to arrive.
5:00PM- Est. time Mike should be arriving from Airport. Taking Mears transportation.
6:30PM- Leave for DTD (below are pictures of a previous trip to DTD with my neice's and nephew)

Spend evening shopping and eat dinner at Planet Hollywood!

Last time I was at DTD I was there with some co-workers for a bachlorette party. We flew in for the night to go to pleasure island and had dinner at Planet Hollywood,( it was great because I worked for the airlines and got to fly for free). Any hoo... When we went to Planet Hollywood Sylvester Stallone was there eating dinner!! Pretty cool.

Well after dinner I think we'll head back to the room for the night. Be back later with day 5.

I am loving your pre-trippies so far, your trip sounds like it is going to be great fun!! Although it will be ALOT of driving it will be so nice seeing and stopping in different places and adds to the experience of your holiday.

I'm sure your going to have a brilliant time and that Reya will love everything you have planned. Keep the plans coming
