You know...the more I hear about what Yavn says, what bothers Yavn, what Yavn doesn't want posted, what he says we "may not post", it REALLY reminds me of when I was a kid and my father worked on some Woody Allen movies. (For you younger people in case you don't know, Woody Allen is a movie writer/producer/director).
I got to meet Woody Allen on several occasions and saw him working, many times. He would go on and on and on about how he didn't like attention, he didn't want anyone taking his picture, he didn't want anyone to leak to the press what was going on during filming, or about his private life. But you know what? Woody Allen, "hiding" behind his oversized sunglasses, was the ONLY one who was always waving his arms and SHOUTING about these things and drawing attention to himself, *not* anyone else. If he truly wanted obscurity, he would've behaved differently.
Well, in my opinion, Yavn and Woody Allen have a lot in common...
If Yavn was so concerned about his quest being posted on message boards, he could create a character that nobody knows is him, and test out his Quest. He *knows* the name "Yavn" draws people to him like flies to honey. He *knows* he's being watched and talked about by the VMK players.
Oh, and is he kidding when he says what we "may not post" here on the DIS???
That's actually comical!
I really have nothing personal against Yavn... but I just don't understand where he gets off thinking he can tell people what to post, or not post, on a message board.
If he put more time into getting VMK to work properly, and less time worrying about what people are posting on a message board, it would be a much better use of his time and effort, and take some aggravation away from everyone who's been getting constant disconnects and slow-downs in the game.
