We recently dined at our favorite restaurant, the Yatchsman Steakhouse, and had a not so great experiance. The waiteress was slow and the food was sub-par. I wrote a letter and sent it to the restaurant and Disney management but have gotten no response.

Any one else been disappointed with the Yatchsman Steakhouse lately?

1st time Jun 07 and 2nd time Jun 08, excellent meal, no complaints. Was the whole meal sub-par or just a particular entre etc.? Even in really good restaurants I've sometimes had a dish that didn't measure up to the previous time I'de eaten it before. Service at Disney I find can often be a mixed bag! Sorry about your bad experience, did you complain to the restaurant manager about the food?

As this is not a DVC specific topic, I'm moving it over to the Restaurats Board.

We had dinner there the third week of June and loved it. The steaks were cooked perfectly. Loved the seafood salad and the scallop app. Didn't do dessert so can't speak for that.

My parents ate here in December and they wern't happy either.

We dined there in May and all six of us enjoyed our meals. Service was fine too.

We ate there in April and we loved it. Had a fantastic server and the food was awesome. The only hiccup was DH's rib eye was served rare and he ordered it well done and it was THE fattiest rib eye we have ever seen and DH loves rib eyes and eats them all the time.

Our server took it away and offered to bring DH anything else he wanted.

Cannot wait to go back there again

Hi, we ate there in June and had the best steak we had ever had! we had the chateuxbraind (not sure how its spelt) which was pricey but fab! would def recommend it!

We were there a couple weeks ago, left the kids at the Sandcastle Club and DH had a FABULOUS meal. Our server was Oscar, and he was a huge part of our experience.

Had the shrimp lobster app, DH had calamari, he had the NY cut, I had a filet we both subsituted our potatoes for those fantastic au gratins they have there we had an order of mushrooms and creme brulle for dessert. A bottle of red and sambuca's with our coffee.

Dang it was good.

We were there in May and I did a little review. It was our really special anniv. and the place was really noisy, our table was really unromantic, our server was efficient but really seemed overwhelmed by the number of tables he had. DH asked him for something and he never brought it, oh well. I hated the green beans, they did sub a baked potatoe for me. Dh is a big steak lover. His steak appeared to have alot of bone to it. I gave him most of mine, ribeye, as I was not feeling all that well, but what I ate of mine was good. I dont know if I would go there again, unless it was a special occasion, we didnt do dessert and we both had the soup appetizer. Even with a dde discount it was really pricey.

The food has always been good, the service was good for the most part. In many ways I feel this is underrated compared to the difficult-to-book Le Cellier.:earsboy:

I'm so sorry to hear that!!! We have always gone, even had our wedding rehearsal dinner there and have never had a problem!! I hope you get a quick response!

I booked our 10th anniversary dinner there. I hope it's a good experience - it's our first trip in 10 years without the kiddos!

We were there last week and I have to say it was very good. Although there have been times in the past when the steak was not quite up to par. Our service has always been excellent. Overall we are very happy with the food and service. I'm sure if you were not happy with your steak they would have replaced it.

We ate there this past May. It was a good restaurant, but nothing there overly impressed me. The roasted garlic they served w/ the bread was a nice touch! I have no copmplaints & I'd go there again, but IMHO, the steaks at Cali Grill & Jiko were much better!

We have never been dissappointed there. However while at disneyland once we were very disappointed with Goofys Kitchen. I got on their website and where it said to contact them I did. I emailed them and with in a couple of hours heard back from them. Have you tried email Disneyworld customer serivce department? That might speed things up. The DL people were wonderful with us. They actually gave me the same amount of money back to use in the future. Give it a try.
