Yard Sales

We are all interested in saving money to go to The World. More money just makes more fun!! Does anyone have any tips for yard sales? My mom and I are having one on Saturday.

Put up a lot of signs that advertise your yard sale. Put things out on tables so people don't have to hunt through boxes to see what you have. Also try to keep things grouped together(kids toys, kitchen stuff, etc.).

Good luck. We raised $300 from our yard sale for our WDW trip in 8 days.

I second the part about the signs--very important!! I use neon tagboard with clear arrows.

In addition, price everything clearly. I use masking tape, and on children's outfits, I include price, size and if it's a two piece. All the children's clothes are arranged by size, just like a regular store.

Have a lot of change! A fanny pack is a good idea, you've got it on your person at all times. Some people have had success selling pop and treats especially if it's hot.

Good luck! It's a lot of work, but every $ earned is one more toward Disney!

Hi!! I always raid the girls closets for hangers, and hang all the sets or really nice stuff. then I make and accesories table and pajama's table works out really well. I usually price things about 10-15% of original cost. on the girls clothes I always ebay first
I noticed that Household items are really hot sellers so if you have a bunch of that def. put it in your add. also as previous posters have said the signs have to be good with arrows easy to get there!! you get people who are just seeing the signs and coming not from the paper too!! good luck!!
