Topic says it all....we are a party of 3, 2A and a 5 year old. Food quality is more important than quantity. TIA!

Definitly Yak and Yeti. Best in park table service by far! On the most recent trip, I had the Duck and Wife had the Steak and Shrimp. Both were excellent. I actually had duck at many places on this trip and this was the best one. Also it is very well themed in there. Tusker House is just OK, Yak and Yeti is really something special. All that being said, it is just the 2 of us, no kids for us yet. So I can't say how either would appeal to your 5 y/o. Although wife says I act like a 5 y/o sometimes, and I liked it.

Yak and Yeti...no comparison. We have the same family size...DH, me, and DD5. We always do lunch there on our AK day. Quality is good, we've never had anything bad there. We always have dxddp, so we get apps, entrees and dessert. Serving sizes are good, not overportioned. All good and nice variety of flavors. The children's menu is limited, but our DD is one of those strange eaters with a dislike for most "kids" cuisine. Try to get a table on the 2nd floor by the window, Table 106, if you can get it (the VIP corner table). Great views, if you time it right, you could sit there and have a nice view of the parade. DD is usually entertained by watching out the window. I always freeze in there though, but I usually keep a light sweater in my backpack. We usually have an ADR, but usually seem to show up very early or late and it's never been a problem. They always seem very flexible. It's one of our favorites in all the world.

Hope you enjoy!

We love the Yak & Yeti! DSs love getting rice after days of french fries... Plus they are just amazed by the cardboard straws!

Tusker House has the absolutely yummiest buffet. The flavors and variety of food is fantastic.

If you time your lunch reservation right, you get priority seating for Finding Nemo, a real plus!

We just ate at Yak & Yeti 2 weeks ago. I read all the great reviews but it was not so great.
The lettuce cups appetizer was good.
The dumplings appetizer was ok.
The salmon entree I thought was pretty bland.
The honey chicken was terrible. It was a very small portion (like maybe a cup of food total??) And it tasted exactly like something that came out of a premade freezer bag of food. If you like frozen dinner style chinese food, then you will like the taste of this. If you prefer things that are fresh made from scratch, you won't like it at all.
The wonton dessert was very tasty, the chocolate cake dessert was very heavy but good and I would only get it again if I was sharing it because it is almost too rich.

I saw some other food go by and it looked decent. I might try it again but mainly because we had excellent service.

I had heard terrible things about the service and great things about the food and our experience was the opposite. Then again, I tend to have the exact opposite experience with my dining experiences as most Disers. All the favorite places for Disers tend to be my worst experiences, and my best choices are the ones nobody likes...lol.
