Yak & Yeti - Landrys Select Rewards?

Has anyone used the landry's select rewards, while being on the dining plan? I have a 25$ reward and wanted to see if I can use it on app's and adult beverages.

All Landry's restaurants in the WDW area are listed as participating locations.

We used our rewards card there. We weren't on dining plan, but don't know why you couldn't use for apps & drinks.

I was hoping we could use it to cover the apps at least, the plus would be a adult drink. On the cards it states that not all states allow you to use rewards cards for the purchase of alcohol.

Do you just show them your landry's card or how do they know if you have any rewards on it? had a bad experience at t-rex. the staff knew nothing about the discount/rewards and would not honor it. any suggestions. i would love to try yak and yeti.
