We'll be dining there for dinner on our July trip. I can already predict that DS will choose the ribs and DH will do the steak and shrimp. Any suggestions for me? I'm the adventurous one. . .tell me or show me pics of entrees you've ordered that were great!

My husband and I ate there in April. He got the ribs and they were excellent: falling off the bone with a nice flavor. It came with rice, which I didn't try, and a slaw, that I did have. The veggies in the slaw were nice and fresh and crisp, but the slaw was kind of flavorless. Thought it would have kind of a sweet/sour taste (or some kind of taste rather than just veggies).

I got the chicken lomein and loved it. My husband had some and he keeps talking about that lomein and how even though his ribs were good, he would get the to lomein next time. I woud probably get it again too. It was recommended by our server. When I ask the severs for recommendations in restaurants they rarely let me down. I wasn't even thinking lomein when I went in there until she said it.

We didn't take pictures, but here are some I found - lomein is in there somewhere: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2566195

Now I want to go to Yak and Yeti! :yay:

Thanks for the links! I've been checking out the photos. . .looks good. We've eaten at Tusker House and Rainforest Cafe on previous trips, so we wanted to try something different.

I got the salmon when we were there and it was some of the best salmon I have ever had! Going back in Nov. just to get that salmon again.

We were there in May. Had a fantastic meal! I had the lo mein also! I had the combo with chicken and shrimp and it was SO good!! I was one of my favorite meals of the trip.

My son had a cheeseburger. The meat almost melted in your mouth!

Wok-fried green beans! I've had several good entrees there, but it's the green beans that keep me coming back :)

Yak and Yeti is one of my favorite restaurants in Disney World. Been twice... everything was great. My favorite dish is the Malaysian Seafood Curry... really good, delicious red curry. But we also liked the other dishes.

This is a great place to get a tall Safari Amber Ale or a drink and cool off while enjoying a great lunch or dinner.

My Review of Yak and Yeti (with Pictures)

They are the BEST! We ate lunch there last year and my DD5 got them because she loves green beans. I almost ate the whole plate.

I had this:

Maple Tamarind Chicken - Seared chicken breast, Indonesian tamarind glaze, coconut ginger rice, baby bok choy, shiitake mushroom stir fry

And I thought it was amazing! The flavors are very complex and good, the glaze was really yummy. I have tried the Lo Mein there too, and it was great but the chicken was fantastic.

Be sure you try the wonton dessert:

Fried Wontons - Skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons, vanilla ice cream, honey vanilla drizzle

This is also very good. I think you'll love Yak and Yeti, it is one of our favorites!

Oh, here's the green beans everyone is talking about:

I thought they were good too, I just wasn't as wowed by them.

I loved Yak and Yeti! My favorite there is the Crispy Mahi Mahi. It was light, flaky, just the perfect amount of batter, and served with a sweet and spicy chili sauce. It comes with jasmine rice and sauteed veggies. It was TO DIE FOR! I'd also recommend a Yak Attak frozen beverage, and the cream cheese wontons for dessert. I was with a group of five others and they raved about their meals too. I think they ordered crispy honey chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and lo mein. You will really enjoy it!

Besides the PP's Won ton dessert picture, we LOVE the skirt steak and shrimp

and the curry

Since it opened, this is the one restaurant we must do every trip. And always at least one skirt steak and shrimp, and Won Ton dessert!!! YUM!
