Yahoo..Thanks to Mary's site, I saved another $60 on car

We leave in less than a week..and I just had to give one more rental car try. My original..and not very good imo price (well, original as far as several changes, as the price went down) at National was $203.25 for eight days, after applying a DC contract id (old one) and coupon.
I just checked Alamo, and they were $40 lower for the same intermediate, so I was thinking of changing..but I really didn't want to have to go to the desk. I tried National using the new DC contract ID and coupon and was told they had no cars : (

I went to Mary's site and followed her instructions for using a product rate code (WEBK8), the contract ID, and a coupon code and they not only had cars, but the total dropped to $143.78 for an intermediate for 8 days....just like a few years ago, when cars were reasonable. So our rental was $17.88 a day with emerald aisle!!

Thanks for the info. I just saved $27 on my Oct rental using that product rate code, and a coupon from Sam's for a double upgrade, and Disney Club. My mon-Fri rental is now $150 for a standard. With the Sam's Club coupon I do have to go to the counter but with everybody using Emerald Aisle I shouldn't have to wait in line and I can do that while my DH gets the luggage.

I just found that $60 you saved! When I tried mine it was 60 more! LOL I'll keep the one I have at $197 for the week!
Hopefully they'll go down or I will end up with limo service.

I have a National rental for $255 for 10 days using wweb, carlson code and a 2 class upgrade coupon(up to intermediate)

I keep reading about how everyone is having their rate go down, but when I redo mine(like with the webk8), it goes up around $100!

This is for 10/24-11/3

Mine is the same thing! I used a $20 off Coupon instead of the upgrade and it saved me $20 bucks, but still, it's high right now!
