If you don't want to walk, just take the ferry boat when you walk out of the gate (in world showcase) at the BC stop.

We walked from EPCOT in December and it was a lovely stroll to add to the wonderful meal experience!!! Plus, you'll build up just a touch more appetite, right?!?!

Don't forget after the boat leaves the International Gateway it will first stop at the Boardwalk. The Yacht Club/Beach Club boat dock will be the second stop, so it might actually be faster to walk over to the Yacht Club.

It is definitely faster to walk, but we also enjoy taking the boat just for the heck of it. If the line isn't long or we're in the front and we know we can sit in the outside seats in the stern, we go for it.

Definitely will be faster. We've beaten the boat several times (HS to BC, Epcot to BC, and vice versa) because it moves sooooo slooooowly.
