Yachtsman Steakhouse dress code?

I just made a reservation here for our May trip. She told me the dress code was business casual, no swim suits, tanks tops or cut offs no t-shirts

So DH is wondering can he wear shorts, nice shorts, like Docker with a collard shirt or would need to wear pants? I'm hoping I can wear capris??

Also, this is a kid friendly place right?? I always thought so, but with a dress code wasn't sure now.

Nice shorts with a collared shirt is fine, as are capris.

While kids are welcome at YSH, like they are at most places in WDW, it is a bit "nicer" than many of the casual park restaurants. If you are comfortable bringing your children, there will be no problem.

We eat there every trip. We see nice dress shorts with collared shirts a lot. It isn't as strict as cm's make it out to be. You will be glad you chose to eat there. enjoy

not to hijack your thread, but we have ADR's for Narcoossee's for my birthday. We are bringing our children DS11, DS9, and DS7. What is the appropriate dress code for them? My husband and I can figure out how to dress ourselves, but want the boys to be comfortable all day. We are eating dinner there and will be coming straight from the MK. Maybe I will put a change of clothes in the lockers for them??

Anything goes except swimwear. Your hubby will be fine.

And if you "honor" the dress code, don't be at all suprised if there are others in the restaurant who do not. Enforcement of the code is hit or miss--mostly miss.
Goofy370--what ever the kids had on for the MK that day should be just fine.
