Yacht Club with illuminations view

Were staying at the Yacht Club in September and I am looking for a room number to request with Illuminations viewing from the balcony.

We never recommend requesting a single room number. If that room is occupied, which is likely, the room assigners have no idea why you wanted that location in order to find another room for you.
Make your request "Illuminations view please".

An Illuminations view at the Yacht Club would be a room that is located near the lagoon end of the resort and facing toward Epcot. There is a small elevator near that end of the resort, but the main elevators are near the lobby.

I think if the Illuminations view is the most important thing you want/need, then make that your only request. That way, the assignor(s) will see it's important to you and will hopefully do what they can based on availability. If you have secondary requests like "near the main elevators because of X reason", I would do that second with something like "and if possible, it would be nice to also have...." I have found with just my husband and I and our request of "a quiet room so we can truly enjoy our vacation" has been met about 99% of the times and when it hasn't, it's been because of our neighbors and Disney can't do anything about that.

I believe, like @woodnymph described, that your request is for the wrong side of the building.

As already mentioned, requesting what you want rather than a room # is best. We had a room in the volleyball courtyard that had Illuminations view. It was a garden view but if you looked to the right you could see the lake and Boardwalk.
