Yacht Club vs Animal Kingdom Lodge room size

What are the differences in room size at AKL and YC? Anyone know the sq. footages? Anything else I should know? Thanks!

I can give you the square footage. YC-380 SQ FT and the AKL-340 SQ FT in the standard size room.

Just back from the Yacht Club and had a wonderful stay. Location is great. Rooms were very roomy and attractive. Loved it!!

If you are a DVC member, there is a document on that website that lists the room sizes of all the WDW resorts.

Ok, I hate to appear stupid, but I've been to the DVC site and can't find the sq. footages. Where is this located?

All the floor layouts are drawn at each resort!

MichelleB, you are not stupid. You are just one of many victims of the web-site design dilemma -- sites are designed by computer wizzards who haven't the foggiest idea about what people are actually looking for or how to make it easy for them to find it.

Once you are on the members site after signing in, click on the following:

1. "Understanding Your Membership" (left hand column)

2. Then at next page, "Member Benefits and Privileges" (also left hand collumn)

3. Then at the next page, "The Disney Collection Program" (in the middle of the page)

4. The rooms with sguare footage will be on the second page of the document that comes up.
