Yacht Club OR Beach Club?

I’m so happy to hear that! They completed a refurbishment in December, so they must have decided to follow the cleaner feel of YC. Good news indeed! 👍🏽

The Beach Club page on the Disney website has photos of the updated rooms with the new flooring.

Both the YC and BC have dedicated buses for park opening in the mornings, until sometime after 10am. But they share buses for the rest of the day. YC is the first stop.
We've stayed at Beach Club several times; however, it's always been split stays and we've always gone to Epcot/DHS while staying our portion at Beach Club. This upcoming trip, we are only staying at Beach Club, so will be using bus transportation for the first time. We are rope drop people and I am glad to hear that BC gets their own busing in the morning. What is your opinion of the busing / transportation overall? How early do you recommend we get there before early park opening - so if park opens at 8:00 and we can get in to the park at 7:30, should we be at the bus stop by 6:30/6:45am? TIA

I just left beach club and loved every minute of it. The sand bottom pool was amazing, especially with the lazy river. It made me wish I’d left more time for the pool. The marketplace was nice and Epcot was a ridiculously close walk.

Just to let you know, when we stayed at YC in June - YC was the first stop and then BC. Usually everyor at BC was able to get on the bus, but many times they had to stand. Might be worth walking over to the YC bus stop if you’re worried about getting to the parks for early entry

There are only two parks that you have to bus to, so overall, busing is good. We always go to early opening. One hour ahead of time is good enough. The lines for the buses tend to be short if you are in line really early but get longer as you get closer to opening time. Keep an eye on the bus times in the MDE app. It will show arrival times for both YC and BC bus stops.

What time did you see the sharing? The last few times we’ve been at YC, including early March, the resorts had separate buses until 10am. Also reported by several other posters. If they’re sharing all day, that’s a recent change.

We stayed there in June and it was early morning. I would say 7:30-9:00 am

Never stayed at YC but didn’t care for BC at all. In fairness, we had a horrible room over looking a swamp and overpass on the backside which probably put the sour taste in our mouths.

Walkability was good for Epcot and HS, and we enjoyed the pool. Marketplace at YC was much better (we love their Cuban sandwiches!).

So for early entry? That might make sense. We were just at YC earlier this month. We went to MK on September 8th. Got on a bus around 8:30 for a 9 am opening & went directly to MK, no sharing.

You can’t go wrong with either, but overall we tend to steer towards Yacht because we are adults and prefer the calmer atmosphere. Beach’s lobby and common areas are often very busy, understandably because of people coming to eat at Cape May, Beaches and Cream, etc. Yacht has always felt much quieter to us - the lobby is darker, feels more refined and “adult”, and the store and restaurants are definitely geared more towards adults. I also like that you’re guaranteed a balcony which is a big thing for us.

In short, if I was bringing kids, I’d probably lean towards Beach, but if an adults only trip, Yacht would be my preference. Generally though, I’ll just go for whichever is cheapest! :cutie:

Love the Yacht Club. Never stayed at the Beach. Been curious. Are the rooms the same? Is the theming better?

Which would you choose?

Of those two resorts we always choose Yacht Club.

One of our biggest reasons for going Deluxe is having a balcony.

All YC rooms have balconies, not true for BC.

If you plan to use the balcony, go for the YC, otherwise BC is closer to Epcot and has a nicer theme. IMO. When our kids were young, we always stayed at the BC. Now that we are in our 70's we tend more towards the YC. (slowed down a lot and spend more time on the balcony than in the theme parks). But we love the BC, so we do opt for staying there on occasion. meanwhile, there are some rooms being refurbished at the YC and Stormalong bay is closed for most of the first half of next year. I would steer clear of the Yc for the foreseeable future. (just cancelled a stay at YC/BC for that reason)

The Yacht Club is much quieter. The Beach Club more upbeat. Depends on which you like.
