Does the Yacht club have the cafeteria style dining for Breakfact, Lunch and Dinner like the Moderates have. THe one with the different stations etc.:confused3

Nope. There isn't a food court at any of the deluxe resorts. The best they have are small quick service areas. The closest thing you'll find to quick breakfast is at the Beach Club Marketplace inside the store, and those are limited to breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and grab and go items similar to that.

Boardwalk Bakery has pastries, as well. There's really nothing convenient for Yacht Club.

I might have to change my reservations. I know that the Animal Kingdom has a great food court. I look forward to a good breakfast each morning.

I would SO not change my reservations if I were you! YC/BC has a spectacular pool complex and so much to do!

It's more expensive than a food court breakfast, but the YC has the Captain's Grill, which has a great breakfast buffet. It's a nice change from the loud, crowded character buffets at other restaurants. Prior to DVC when we stayed at YC or BC (4 times), it was a our "secret" for getting a good breakfast and a quiet start before the morning park madness!

Thanks Tara I will reconsider but I have never stayed at a resort in Disney without the Food Court. Maybe I can try going to the Bakery or something. Where do you fill your mugs??

Honestly, I don't remember if there's a mug station on the YC side - I don't think so. (I haven't stayed on that since since 1999.) There's a mug station at the Beach Club Marketplace, and one at Hurricane Hanna's (the pool bar/grill).

We love the Epcot Resort area, indeed we own at BCV.
But if a Food Court is important to you I would definitely reconsider where you are going to stay. I think you will be disappointed in the offerings. There is nothing that resembles the Food Courts of the Values and Moderates, and many complain about that. Even the Boardwalk Bakery is not like that at all. They too just have pasteries and breakfast sandwiches. If you are on the DDP, there really is a lack of places in this area to use your CS credits. (Of course you have all of Epcot in your backyard, if you have Park Hoppers)
Other than that limitation, we love the area.
SAB is the best pool on property, IMO. We love the access to sit down restaurants too. We love being able to walk to 2 parks and we always get hoppers so we can enjoy the restaurants of World Showcase.
It really is your choice as to what matters to you. If you like a Food Court, you will be disappointed.

Animal Kingdom Lodge does not have a food court. And Captains Grille at the Yacht Club has an awesome Breakfast Buffet, and Cape May next door has a great Character Breakfast Buffet.

On the YC side, you can refill your mug at the bar off the lobby. A continental breakfast is served there, too. I second Captain's Grill which serves a la carte choices as well as the buffet. BC Marketplace has the best fruit and yogurt parfait which is made to order as well as cheese and egg croissants. Room service is another option.

The Beach Club Marketplace (located next door on the BC side) has quick service breakfast and you can refill mugs there. You can also refills mugs at Hurricane Hannahs at the pool complex and Beaches and Cream. On the Yacht Club side you can refill them right at the bar in the lobby area.

No deluxe resort has a food court like the values and moderates do. However, they have multiple sit-down restaurants.

At the YC, the Captains Grille is a quick and fairly cheap breakfast. They have a buffet and ala carte items like chocolate chip pancakes. It is very good.

On the BC side they have a character breakfast buffet at Cape May Cafe that is very good also.

You can also grab quixk stuff at the Marketplace.

You can walk over to the Boardwalk and grab something at the Boardwalk Bakery or you can et breakfast at the place that was Spoodles-it's the Kat Cora place. I just can't think of the name at the moment. It only is a few minute walk to the boarwalk.

Your dinner choices are extensive. You have all the restaurants at the BC/YC, all of them at the Boardwalk, plus Epcot is a 5 minute walk, so you have all of them too.

You can have a great lunch at Beaches and Cream or ESPN (on the Boardwalk), or Captains Grille, or any country in Epcot.

Good point, we are not food court people, so a food court is extremely unimportant to us, but if it's what you like and are used to...you may not like any of the deluxe resorts.

i would definitely NOT change your reservation. my family and i have been staying at the BC/BCV since i was 3! (i'm now 19) i would give anything to have breakfast at the galley (captains grille) everyday of my life!! haha!! :rotfl: such a good breakfast there. beaches is such a good family restaurant AND the boardwalk has just as many options as well! why sit in a food court when you could enjoy the boardwalk or looking over stormalong?! plus, i refuse to get a caesar salad anywhere but the BC marketplace. so bangin! no contest there for me! hope you figure it out!

I assume she was talking about Mara, the quick service restaurant at AKL.

Could be... when someone says "food court" to me I automatically think of the type of thing you'd see in the middle of a shopping mall. I just wanted to make sure she didn't have a picture in her head of an actual food court that she had seen at one of the values while thinking it was in AKL.
It would destroy the ambience of the deluxe resorts to stick a food court in the middle of them. You won't have any problem getting an awesome and satisfying breakfast while staying at a deluxe resort.

I am talking about the Mara. It is very similiar to the dining areas in the value and mod and has a lot to offer. It is also quick so you can get to the parts

Thanks for all the great info. I think I will stay with the YC. I really like the looks of the pool. The lazy river sounds fun.:cloud9:

OK..the Mara is great. I've never been to one of the value food courts...didn't realize it was a similar set up - I always think of food court as the type you find in the malls...that's what I was envisioning at the values.
I think you'll have no trouble finding a good, speedy breakfast at YC.

you will have a frig in your room too. Stop at the hess station next to the BW and pick up a case of water/soda. Much easier than the mug and cheap - water is usually 4.99 a case/24 and 12 pack of soda3.99:thumbsup2

my concern is with our dining plan - we got the one that has a quick service, a table service and a snack daily. When we went and stayed at the CBR we had our breakfast be the quick service and split it so we saved up credits. Will the beach club marketplace be ENOUGH for us to do this? Is it a full meal? Warm food?

Ale and Compass Lounge or the Belle Vue Lounge (in boardwalk, but close enough to walk) was also listed as a quick service on the brochure. Is that the type of place that will have hot breakfast? Is it a variety of eggs, pancakes and waffles?

If these don't offer quick, good breakfasts for counter service we may have to upgrade to the table service. A bit worried...
